Melville Beach, WA, AU

Sonic 85, 4.7 Tushy Storm, 30cm fin  20 -25 knots

Was feeling very lacklustre today and had to force myself to go for a sail as there are not too many days left to score for the ashes.

The wind was up and down but mostly up. Well powered and just in control with 4.7

Finally managed to beat my 2 sec  PB which I made on my very first GPS session.SmileSmileLaughing Yay!!!

Was tempted to try for more but decided not to risk life, limb and ribs.

 Nice to meet Damien who was working and couldn't sail but popped in to check out the conditions.

Skunky morning session at Wallyworld with Jesper and Toby. Missed the one squall.

Afternoon session at Peli in search of Naughty miles. Happy with the result. Could have been a 30 as I ran out of room and had to run the last part heading upwind to the carpark. Oh well.

Warp 6.3, Sonic 100 ( continue to be impressed with this board it handled the chop without complaint), elmo weed 29cm.

 

Woohoo Windxtasy. Nice couple of boundaries in the final overs!Cool

Fun sesh at Peli with Mark in a very cold and gusty southerly, 15-25K.

Started out on the S-Type + 7.0 TR5 + 34 Talon, but I was undercooked in the lulls and struggling to get upwind for the days mission...naughty miles.

Then I tripped the rail gybing, face plant, harness hook through the bottom panel....spewin Yell

Better start writing that 'Crash Story', I'm sure I've got a few gooduns Embarassed

Went in and changed up to my Futura 111 + 40 Talon + 7.5 Koncept.  Got my best numbers on this combo.

Only got one decent mile in, pleased with the result, cos it didn't feel powered up the whole way.  Hopefully it'll give us a nudge up the table for October.

Pelican Point, WA, AU

Fanatic 160L, Arrows Trixx 6m, JP Weed 33.

Spent some time in Melville, but no luck as the wind died. 
Then moved to Pelican's and had a bit of fun.

Too many new parameters today.
The rear straps moved back and out, and could only step on them.  A new boom, and shorter harness lines.
I'll need someone's help next time to set them properly. I was all over the place.

Lao She, Pointman, Hardpole were smoking. Great to see other team members out there.

Pelican Point, WA, AU, Gusty and like a winter sail. Not much fun really after the lovely sea breezes. Got on and in the water at least.

I tried at Tinaroo Dam, but got here a bit late.  Did manage to meet up with Herb  Lyn, and Gaz from FNQ Mob as they were completing pack up at days end.  Will give it another burl tomorrow if the breeze comes in. Smile

The crew here spent an hour or so pointing out what works breeze wise and what doesn't, plus any hidden stumps I may find. Knowing me I probably willEmbarassed
