Pretty rapt w todays sail, nice winds about 18 to 23 later gusting to 25+, but choppier.  WE had an Alpha comp today with everyone gybing in same conditions so good to see who wins that one, and really tried hard for the NM, and ecstatic with that one!!  TR-4 6.3m iSo 86, Sam Special 23.5cm fin (Awesome Fin)

JP Speed 49cm, NP RSR 6.7, Elmo Weed 23cm.

Got down the run real late after work, decided to do some experimentaling with the 49cm speed which I had never sailed before, was a wee bit lumpy out there in places, got a few nice squirts, kinda understood how the board works, fin was a little unstable but ok.

Had a spincter clenching moment in front of Mike, which I'm stuffed if I know how I recovered from it, but got it all under control rehooked and pulled my best speed for the day.

Good to  get on the water on some new kit that i have been waiting for. Headed down to alpha land to get some tips of mike. Never been down there and was impressed when i saw the numbers. Huge thanks mike. Bit under done on the 6.6 but decided to pull out the 46 nude streaker. Twas in love with it after 500m. These boards have Blown my mind. Lost for words.

What a fun day, great to meet Tomski.

Started off with the 1hr rig from the other day, trying to figure out why I was so uncomfortable, I've improved it a lot, but doesn't feel as good as I remember it.

Then put the Avalon 5.3 on the new speed board and joined in the alpha challenge, I'm still improving my gybes on this board, I think with more practise, could be as good as the old one.

Then experimented with different fins, found the 19cm 45 cut down a bit too small for the 5.3 in these conditions, spinning out in chop. Then tried the 19.5 woody, it's got more area in the tip, and is assymetric, hard to get upwind, but downwind wasn't too bad. Got the 35 in this last session.

NM was with the first fin, a 23cm 45deg.

good solid day at hards with many of us on the mission today. Great fun with the boys

Passed most of the arvo on the 53, then jump on the 50 on the last hour... should have used the 44 has I was feeling overboard, had trouble keeping to board on the water..

Just before the sun went down, had a quick crack at the Crasher's 47 Nude just after the CA50, the feeling was beautiful and most impressive part was when I had to jybe... it was like jybing on a wave board.. sooo easy

BIG congrats to Tom and Crasher for the PBs . Also WELL DONE to the TEAM, we made it again

Joe, I cannot believe we got the same speed, did not mean to copy you , and YES the drinks are on me with my mini 23 , my best one was out and not in alphaland, the ones there was too wide

More PB's. I feel like I'm cheating. First time free sailing at Mandurah today, had a ball but a new speed fin I picked up turned out to be too small for the 6.7. Ill keep searching, hopefully a 24cm ish speed/weed will pop up. Good to meet a few of you today. Cheers
