Boombuster (66243km): Got down Thornside on the run out tide Big mistake had a good sail but Chris & I had to slog back through waste deep mud for over 400mts not fun never again shit hole. Wello is open now at times to light traffic I went down to see Pierre go out again so he could beat me in 2sec peak but I went home to try to wash out my gear my board is stained from the mud it won't come off. I had a look at the land slides that have closed the park for over to weeks I was expecting it to be fixed but nothing has been done what the hell has the council been doing all week just looking at it why do we have to pay rates for these blugges can't beleive it. Chris also cut his toe bad while crawling through the mud waste deep hope your ok mate. CA70 Loft7.7 Venom42

Pity the wind dropped off just as i was starting to tune the gear. First and second runs were the highest then the wind died out the back. is86, tr-4 6.6, 31 SL9
ODIN (38126km): First sailed at thornside with chris and glynn wind was not to bad but still through the middle alot gusty a bit hard to push it through underfinned but then again when the gusts were up it was hammering time ... Tried out the new JP VII 68 today was abit dragy at first but with a bit of tunning came out smoking at the end should have set it up like this at the beggining not towards the end... So went to wello afterwards and did some more tunning on the board and then i found its sweet spot , practically i was going quicker crosswind to upwind here at wello then i did at thornside and wello wind was much less so pretty stoke with that... Again a bit to underfinned again at wello must look into a bigger fin for the gusty stuff but again in a good consistant stronger gust the 38 worked really well .... As for the board it really works well man this board is a chop eater it just flys over the chop with no problem , no draging no stickyness and very quick , suprisingly at wello cranking it to mid upwind way past out the beacons i was hitting on some good gusts 31 kts of speed and this is still the first time on the board , cant wait till i fully dial it in.... By the way i did no off the wind runs due to tunning the new gear in and im pretty surprised in the results...

The General (5680km): Thorneside, QLD, AU Great sail with the Wolf Pack today. But it was the worst idea to go out on the tide we did. The mud coming back was so hard to get through. Thanx to Odin for coming back to help me, Heaps appreciated dude. I couldn't get over 30 today. Even if I went off the wind. My feet are sooooo cut up after the walk in. Got the setup to work today, but I want a smaller fin. Hey Pierre thanx for the help with my Gybes. Falcon 104, Vapour 7.6, Tallon 42. |
