Wello -- Great sunday sail, a bit tired from Saturday but still good to be out there. Opted for the smaller kit (6.7m) and had to work hard to get up wind.

Exocet 62W -RS 6.7m - C3 36cm --> the fin was a bit to small for today condition, and I did a bit of testing with a larger Fin[39cm] more power up wind but scary of wind. So what this means Shopping for a extra fin............

Cheers B..........Cool

Today decided not to do any speed runs just wanted to tune in my gear a bit better and try out some fins...

And also try out some  runs across the wind to get it really dialled in and im nearly there...

Tried the 43 S-10 but it was a bit stiff and too big for the board didnt suit it well..

A nice cruisy day with the crew totally relaxing and enjoying my sailing , Richard and I decided to sail to the closest beacon to us in the bay and it measured out 6km one way , was pretty good , its quite fun doing long runs...

Great sail again at wello gee i hope thsi keeps up.

Pierre decided we should do some runs to the beacon about 6ks out my ankle made it till about 5 so turned around and waited for them on the return trip was fun coming backTongue out. Pierre maybe next time we should do that early in the session and not at the endUndecided.

Really good sail with the MOB. Went out to beat Glynn in all categories today, I think that I may have done it will see if he posts.LaughingWink

Went for some big distance and gybes today. Am getting so close to being able to break the 20 barrier.  Finally got the vapour tuned right, can point and go down wind well. Should have got those new fins off Simon, would have been a perfect day to try them with all the different conditions that we had today.

That was the last sail for me for 5 weeks. Let the wind be good, and the hotties on the beach be smokin!!Wink

Wello , Falcon 111, Warp 6.8, Finwork fin 39. I came down late to get the low tide and the flatter water, but it was still rought out there. With less wind than yesterday it was not as rough and I was sailing on a bigger gear, which suited me better. The Warp has got a lot of pull, but the cambers turn badly. I think I would have got much better alpha on the freeride sail with no cambers. Anyway I forgot my wet suit so I had to sail in my bonds today, maybe that was the reason that I was going faster over all. Thanks for the brown eye Pierre. It cheered me up no end.Laughing

Another good sail at wello, decent wind and sunny day. Glad i rigged the bigger sail, was considering the 7 but there were still a few too many lulls. No where to get good speed today as still a fair bit of chop around even coming down the channel once the tide went out a bit. Went for two runs out to the beacon but turned around at 5 ks out as the wind was less the further i went out pretty weird. Will have to go all the way around next time.

My red raw feet could not stand another day in the Wello chop so decided to stay local at the train. Went out on the 7.8 at first but too tired to battle with it and the wind was picking up a bit. Went out on the Blade 6.3 with the Sonic, then the speed board. Wish I had my 6.7 as the 6.3 blade was not quite enough. Still had some nice runs with the usual problem of running out of water just as I was getting wound up.

Still nice to get on the speed board for a blastSmile

Race day at Cootharaba.

not a very good day for me as getting your arse kicked all ways is no fun. but when it blew it was fun.

Third race was ok but I got away too early and got disqualified. Sucks

Fourth race saw the wind shift about 40degrees so I couldn't make the top mark and had to basically go straight down wind to make the finish line, ended up drinking way to much lake water. uuggghh

Found out I lost my seat harness, so was using the waist harness..... All sorts of bad. So much air and couldn't lock the sail in at all.

Chris you had to do extra Ks to beat me & the wind picked up for you lucky for you didn't do the better speeds while I was out but well done only you will have to stop letting me pass you on the big runs I keep winding you in like a fishing line.
