Sandringham, NSW, AU

20-30knts S to SSE.

F2 SX Med, JP III 32cm fin, NP RSS 6.7m.

Fun sail.  Bank was really well exposed with nice flat water behind.  Wind was light and patchy when I went out so I took the big board.  When the wind came in the smaller board would have been a dream but I couldn't be bothered coming in and changing at that point.

PS. I don't like the updated google earth image - it was taken at high tide so the bank is not as visible (and nor are the submerged obstacles!).

Sandringham - SSE 5 - 10 -20 - 30 you pick as I couldn't. Lots of lads out, when I arrived it was in a massive lull so I rigged the 7.5. Hmmm

First time I have really had a good run at the spped strip and now I get how cool it is.

Great, but gusty souterly at Sans Souci, NSW, AU.

Its been about 4 weeks since my last sail, so felt really good to be back out.

AB96L, 32cm Nitro fin. 5.5M2 TR4 Maui rigged very flat, for the gusts!

Bit underpowered for the lulls.

Peak speed was a new record, 33.33 but must have been a spot reading.

The water behind the sand bar was quite flat, but I still seemed to experience some jitters at speed.

I'd be interested if anyone has tips on how to reduce high speed skating.

Also spinout was a bit of a problem, but only above about 25 knots, which is obviously more annoying than slow-speed spinout.

Good to see about 10 sailers out today.

Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Rs5 6.7 falcon 110 then took out the CA44 with the new spweed fin 21 cm.. the reason we headed up there was to pick the fins up today give them a blast nice to get on the 44 but only got 3-4 runs in and not really powered up the fin felt real nice lots of lift from such a small fin think it will take the 7.5 no probs

very happy with my shaping also picked up the newly boxed Drake ready for the itching to start again Laughing

well done on PBs boys!!

fairly tough day on the water, wind was up & down and very shifty, too square to get lit up. Still got a few runs on the strip & saw quite a few 34's & a 34.8, got cut back again Yell
