Obelix (3335km):
4899 days ago Melville - 115L, 7.5m - had a few nice runs on 7.5 then it got too much. Downsized to 6, but it was too much by the time I finished rigging. Fluffed around on 6m. Only managed a single run accross. Some people tried a 5m and found the gusts to be too much of a challenge, so I packed up. Nice to cath up with so many people. Jake was smoking accrross, and so was Chad.

4899 days ago To much for me. Had my smallest kit and still couldn't hold on. I need a 5m for that stuff.

4899 days ago Nuclear wind at Melville today and plenty of crew out enjoying it. Arrived around 12 and had a couple of runs on the 6.3, which was soon wwwaaayyy to much to handle, so changed down to the 5.4 which was much more reasonable. Sailed the speed strip with Scarrgo, which was turning it on today in the gusts. Really enjoying being back on the water especially on days like today Stoke-meter is high!

pretty good afternoon
for most of it there was alot of sun, no rain and lots of wind
was well over powered on my 5.0 but got a few good runs right up into the corner
also had a few good crashes as you do when you are completly over powered and the consequences of these crashes was destroying my boom
clamp just shattered and both swides of the boom were significantly bent
by this time i was tired so i called it a day

If you guys thought you were overpowered at Melville, imagine how I was at Woodies in a strong offshore wind on a 5.8, 85L board and 32 fin!
The sail felt OK but I could hardly keep the board on the water in the chop! After the second run I decided it was just too dangerous and called it a day. I wore my red jacket so the sea search and rescue could find me, but being a very independent girl, I didn't want them to have to.
I thought about changing down to my 4.9 and waveboard which probably would have been fun, but was running out of time.
Good to see JJ and Slowie really smoking (make sure you have a look st Slowie's numbers!). Congrats on the PB's JJ, and Obelix and Scarrgo too.

4899 days ago Squeezed a quick 40 minutes in after work, before darkness descended and lightening flashes started lighting up the sky.
Pretty patchy at first, but filled in nicely as it was getting dark.
F111 + 7.6 TR7 + 38 Sting.
The big board was getting a tad hairy on some of the faster runs
Nice way to wrap up the working week. Good to catch up with some Pinnaroo crew...massive thanks to Chris for helping me derig in the midst of a mental thunderstorm

4899 days ago 2 categories Woodmans Point, WA, AU
Gusty wind I guess up to 25 knots outside, got some good runs out of the chop in the lee of the point.
Thought I was doing well until Chris let me know he had a run of 41 knots!!
It was fun sailing with Chris (learnt a lot) and Anita and not too many kites.
Severne Code Red 6.2, Isonic 76, C3 Sting 28
Changed down later at about 3 when the wind picked to a 5.3 Gator but couldnt get over 32 knots.

4899 days ago Got to Melville to see evrybody having a breather and lots of grins on faces. Rigged the 7 and was met with snorts of you are mad!
By the time I hit the water (after Darth Dog taking the michael out of me for post work rigging rush) the wind was almost gone.
Pretty patchy but enough to get going, Just before dark the lightning started and got a few runs across the corner towards the shore. Kept going for alphas but did not really link any good gusts together. Min speed of 13 but max 25!
As I was derigging the rain came. Bam! Then realised that the Slow one was still out there somewhere. Steve Stratfold and I left the lights on and searched up and down the shore but no Slowy! Just started to think about calling for assistance when he trudged up after a broken mast a long swim and a walk
Big congrats to JJ, Scarrgoand Obelix on PBs and Snake on a melville PB.
Grumpy I have a 5m koncept that only gets used occasionaly happy to loan it if I can't sail.
