Langstone harbour, most enjoyable sail of the year so far, steady 20-25 knots of wind, warm and sunny. maxed most of the time on biggish kit but wanted to do an hour time and got new spot record out of it.

Hour included 25 gybes for anyone whos interested!

Thanks to my lovely wife I was able to get out a second day. Conditions were pretty good for this lake and despite having a rigging nightmare I eventually got on the water and got a decent sail. The wind direction was decent but not perfect and wind strength reasonable as well, my dad actually measured a gust of 40 knots but the gusts here literally last for a couple of seconds and I was more than comfortable on the 7m. The chop at the north end of the lake restricted speeds a little since the board was literally smashing hard into it on every run. Still got a couple of peaks over 35 so reasonably happy. The south end of the lake had better wind was the water was too wild to get any decent 10 sec speeds. Well done to my mum who was sailing well today and looked in control. I'm really delighted to get a couple days sailing so not at all bothered about having to work all week!

Brillant distance Matrix, such a shame it still leaves us close to 3rd and 4th etc due to no full backup for your effort. We will be easy to catch in that category. Fingers crossed that they dont though.
