completely overdid it today, came home sat down and blacked out for 5 minutes, not sure what happened. Feel better now though.

It was mostly stop start windsurfing with lots of little rests as still not very fit at all. Went out first on my Mistral for about 30 mins, came in had a break and took out the Exocet SL Sport 66 with same set up to compare. It really is a lovely board to gybe, made my second best ever alpha on it as well! Not quite the peaks I was getting on the mistral but it is 7cm wider and much wider through the tail section. Under the right feet I am sure the Exocet will do 38knots, maybe even the holy grail of 40

By the end of the session I could not hold on anymore. But I am treating each session like my last now so couldnt go in, 'just one more run' mentality until I saw sense.

Me and Jonny were laughing about the Irony of racing up to get to the lake to sail in the worst conditions ever. You cannot imagine how crap it is here, especially with all the water gone. I never make any secret of my frustration with this sport, tomorrow it will be great conditions at WK and yet again I have no choice but to work, it's like being a surfer and having J-bay just a few hours up the road and never being able to go out and surf perfect waves when its good. Not only that I never get the chance to actually get any better!! As it turned out I was able to at least get a 30 knot av in the rain and chop so came home relatively happy and even better to have a nice dinner waiting for me... result. Hopefully there will be some wind on my extended half term so I can practice some alphas and maybe get out on the speedboard... I won't be holding my breath though LOL. A big thanks to BPF for making such quality fins for me, I hit a rock at some speed and the thing only had a few marks on it!

Sailed until after sunset again. Way too choppy at Osprey Quay for any decent speed on my preferred tack, but port tack was nice and flat and for the first time all 5 of my 10 sec averages were on port tack.

The wind continued to improve and eventually I got a couple of 31 knot averages.

Well done boys,

Tried to go out today but got a few frowns and its not up to me mate quotes, so after putting a fin in the Falcon 80 and walking down the rough ground to the beach i got back to the van and realised it does really hurt so not a great idea then!!! (Avulsion Fracture on my ankle nearly 5 weeks ago if wondering)

Anyway great times for an iffy day in the Harbour very weird 10's from The Matrix and El Reg who gets the badge for that one till tomorrow? Wont matter tomorrow night though so no worries, Pirates e-mail coming soon with some serious orders coming soon.

Good luck all at Wk,and hope to see a PP winning my old mans trophy on the harbour dash sunday if not more bollickings and deck scrubbing!!!!

Well done Lea on the 20+ Alpha again.....

Whos your mate then Yves will try and meet up.

Laters.......
