Melville Beach, WA, AU

The usual big gear in a dying breeze 18 -12 knots. Had a lovely sail, first in summer wettie for the season. Good to be warm. Got MOST of my tacks AND gybes today, whoo hoo!

... and a 1 hr PB as well as top 3 results for alpha and distance. If only that breeze hadn't died...

Board was a bit small but still a great sail with John and Chris - i had to swim the board in the last 300m as the wind died - rerminded me of sailing northeasters in at Long Reef in Sydney.

Beautiful day for a sail. Just what I needed to snap out of my night shift routine and now enjoy some days off. Happy to get an hr PB. Bit surprised as I was struggling for energy after only a couple hours sleep.

Thanks for the directions today Mark. There was no wind when I got there so went for a look around and ended up at Peli.

some great pb's there guys

jj the breaze did just suddenly switch off at the ocean didn't it

was out on the 49er when it was at it's strongest of over 20 knots

and was great fun, reeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaally hard work i wasn't out for long either and i suspect on a gps we wouldn't have topped 17 knots

but hey 17 knot with the air we were getting attached to the big girl is pretty bloody scary

we only attempted 2 gybes (made them both) but we weren't keen on trying our luck

going out for a little lighter sail tomorrow morning on the 49er from freo again

then i'm working saturday and sunday arvo's ( windforce school has opened again Laughing)

ps if u want to try some 2012 starboard and severne gear come down to the school on the weekend we would be more than happy to rent it all out

Just realised I was only 280m short of a distance PB. Yell If only...

I was the last person off the water as it was, and it was getting dark as I unrigged.
