Tabou 115, new Loft 7.4 33 Choco weed fin. Bit like yesterday, on and off, with  a side show of huge gatorf SurprisedLaughing out on the weed bank.

Had to do a mechanical run for one unfortunate, he snapped the mast base. No injury, the pin just sheared as he stacked it. He had spare in his ute, which I went and picked up. Cool

Woodmans Point, WA, AU

Quick sail  at Woodies on the flat side.

Had to sail 200m or so out from the bank to dodge kiters and keep clear of the weed.

Which leaves a pretty short run but still faster than the windward choppy side.

Isonic 76, Code Red 6.1m, Venom 24

Little loosener down at the beaver, joined by Darryl, Slowy and Tomski. Water was nice later on but the wind just wasn't strong enough for anything fantastic...on the plus side the new 5.7 felt super stable in the gusts and great through the gybes. now for an ice cold! Cool

Manta 69, NP V8 6.5m2, 31cm JP weedie

A fabulous session at Melville to cap off the weekend.  Sailed outside the weed bank - virtually had the place to myself all afternoon.

This combo in 20 knots is really comfortable - yeah I could have put up more sail but I had a ball with this kit today.

Melville Beach, WA, AU 85 Sonic, 5.8 Koncept, 28FO weedster 18 - 22 knots

Whoo hoo! Now that was the most fun I've had since last summer. So nice to get out on my favourite Sonic/5.8 Koncept combo again. It felt juuusst right.

Second best times for 2 sec & 5X 10, and with a weedy too. I think I could have bettered those if the wind had kept up. The distance PB was a surprise .

Even managed some gybes on the Sonic, so I'm really happy.

Thanks for the loan of the weedy Dave, it was perfect.

Got to Wallyworld about 3 to find it heaving. No parking spots. Parked further up and walked down to find the lowest tide I have ever seen there.

Despite my better judgement rigged up on the hill and lugged the gear down.

Lucky I put a weedy on as there were deathly patches of snot weed.

A never ending procession of stinkboats made speed or alphas a waste of time. Best alpha was a 22.3 at 51mYell

Joined by Scarrgo who was cranking around as I left.

Great back up JJ. and well done on the PBs Birdman and Windxtasy!Cool

Point Walter, WA, AU

had lots of stuff to do with my boat today and by the time i got everything sorted and the boat home it was 3

i had a spot of lunch and decided on point walter as my planned saftey bay trip was a little too far and too late

arrived at wally world to find mark out on his usaul gear which i thought was strange as it seemed very windy

i rigged small which wasn't necissarily a mistake but it just changed the sort of day i would have

was probably the right thing in the end was planing nearly all the time water flatened out a bit after mark left Tongue out

and had a couple of nice little squirts

i'm impressed with the alpha, seemed like i couldn't make any jybes today cause when my harness lines on the small boom are fully extended they flop about and i hooked in mid rig flip many times Yell

oh well if all goes to plan i might make it down to SB tomorrow

what do they say, third times the charm ?

5.0 koncept, 76 isonic, 24 custom weed

Iso 76, Koncept 5.8m plus new 26 weedy. Felt great in the gusts, but not enough gusts. Windxstacy used my 28 weedy and went faster with her 5.8 Koncept!

Mettams / Sorrento

Kombat 79l and Ezzy SE Wave 5.8 - took a little bit to get used to the smaller board and not flat water but great fun. felt faster than that.

Well done on the weekend everyone ! PBs and (briefly) top of the world what more can we want.

forgot to say but i did a downwinder from leighton to scarbs with Rowen law, isacc and a few other guys (and a female polish RSX sailor, not on an RSX).

Felt quite similar to the race so will try and do a few more to test out the gear.
