4711 days ago Not the session I thought it was going to be but turned out to be very useful....I learned a lot about my sails, board/fin and west kirby. Used most of my energy before the wind arrived and then the tide came over the wall...Good fun session and only 2-3 people on the water!

Goostaff (2301km):
4711 days ago 2nd Excellent day sailing in Cornwall, and a really good call to go to St Johns last minute. Good angle on a west wind, and the wind was extremely strong and gusty at times, This is the first time I've sailed here on this angle and will definetly visit again due to the easy acess. The sailing today was really comfortable and easy on the slalom gear and I sailed pretty much for 3hrs without getting too tired. At one point the wind picked up to a solid 35knots and thats when all the better times were set, as a consequence it was pretty hard to keep the nose down in the gusts..... Next time without a doubt need to bring the speedboard as this would have pushed the average up a little since at one point I did about eight 38.5 or so peaks in a row. There was a little rolling swell at the windy South end of the course which disappeared at the end and I think the course will be even better on a lower tide, there are a few dangerous shallow patches though and the fin caught twice at 37knots. Nick managed an awesome wipeout when he starting heading downwind in a massive gust.. He seemed fine after!!
Great to get home and have a delicious dinner ready for me, thanks Hils...
