Planing is a great feeling especially when you havent been unable to do it for nearly 6 weeks. Very light wind and flat water which I was real happy with for my maiden test sail on the knee. Thanks to Boss man for the lend of his knee brace, works a treat!! Some unorthodox mounts and dismounts and wobbly gybes were iffy but just to plane, get a foot in the straps and cruise along is an awesome experience even at a smokin' 25 knots Who cares, it was sweet to be back out with the boys for an hour or so.
All that exercising and water work has helped I hope.

Not comfy today, but it seems a bit of a trend out there today. Still it was great to see the return of the Sun and blue sky. Dave was sailing great, but had a bit of a rough ending...

4674 days ago Nice NE seabreeze, near the runway at Kyeemagh, NSW, AU.
Gusty as usual, but reasonably consistent. Some of the lulls were windy enough to maintain a plane, if you were careful.
Tought time keeping up with M.T. but fun none the less.
Did some sweet gybes, and improved the exit speeds a bit, so could keep planing out of 1 or 2 lay-down gybes. Oh so much fun!
Excocet is great. 91L RS2, Select S07 35cm fin, and an ancient 10yr old Gun Mega Race 6.8 that flaps so loudly you can hear it over the jets.

A weird day. Was using my new second hand Koncept 7.5 but just never felt comfortable on it. Could have been due to the broken batten it had so I'll reserve my judgement on it for another time. I am so over my 34cm fin letting go on almost every powered up run so methinks it time to grab myself something newer and more bettererer. Wind was up and down like a yo-yo but I do know for sure I was planing a lot earlier and for a lot longer than if I had rigged the 6.7rsr like I always do.
Had a blast chasing Dave and Mike around all arvo and Dave and I did our good deed by rescuing a girl with a busted mast foot.
Dave I really hope that wasn't a car that had run into yours on the way out as I was leaving.......????

4674 days ago Late afternoon blast off Kanahooka Point, over to the lakes entrance and back. First time sailing here in a noreaster seabreeze and loved it. Top speed in flat water is good but hard to beat the absolute mental enthrallment and committment of flat out blasting of 3 foot rolling chop!!!

Real fun arvo chasing rexy all over the bay. Wind was patchy as everyone said. Looking at the stats I managed to do a hour PB. :) Been a while since I did one of those..
