Starboard S-Type 126, Loft Switchblade 8.5, 40cm Talon
First sail for three weeks - it turned out better than was forecast. Nice sail with Dave and Troy and Berowne later on. (an 8.6 on a 91l slalom? How does that work?!?!)

Who'd have thought you can ride a Excocet 91L with a Loft Racing Blade 8.6m?
ME ! It's like a speed board for a 5.5. Well it sinks like one. 1 vertical metre of sail underwater when I tried to uphaul it in an appauling 5kt lull.
Good to see Ric, Remi, Michael, and a whole bunch a blokes out having fun in the gusts.
I also took my kids along and another family for a bit of fun in the sun.

Recently Acquired Loft 8.6 Racing Blade 2011. Thanks Vando.
Excocet 91L for peak speeds. Also used Drops 165L formula board (circa 1935). 25 kts felt fast on that. And scary.
35cm S7 was best, 39cm was too much on the ankle. Formula fin 60cm.

Looked like being a good arvo but the wind came in and left, came in and left etc. just cruising with Marty, Chris etc.
Nice arvo on the water though, never got above 13-15 knots. managed a 29.09 in one lucky gust. A few punters out with sun, blue skies, sea eagles and a very late cameo from Millsy. We feel sorry for Mick, Pete etc
