Taren Point, NSW

Maui tr3 6.6 Isonic 86, carbon art 32 slalom fin

Arrived to see white cap heaven. So naturally i rigged a 6.6, which was way to big, IDIOT!!!!

Hit the water, struggled a little to get to the wind on the submarine, then i Hit the wind then struggled to hold the sail down. The chop was monsterous and by the time i hit the flat water (which wasnt that flat as the tide was coming in) i was buggered. I had so much arm pump from holding the sail down in that chop that i had nothing left in the tank for the bumpy speed strip. I've never had the 86 in that sort of chop, scary as all f#$k!!!!

Anyway the 36 was second run, was really suprised as it didnt feel that fast and thought i could smash that. 2 more runs didnt get the wind and after that it went due south so didnt get squat. Upon pulling up next to Rick for a chat he threw some figures my way and they were FASTTTTT...

Very bumpy getting out to the strip, but sweet as...

Bit of a struggle on port, to tight with such a small board and fin.

Started to get patchy and siffty towards the end, so called it.......I didnt want to sink out there.
