Started on Falcon 80...but four of the highest 10s average were on the Tabou49.  Pirates out in force...in the rain!!

5.8m North Ram F9

Typical Stithians

Rain, mist and patchy gusty winds, sometimes only 1 or 2 beaufort.

Ive lost count of how many times ive been here in conditions like this. Great exercise though

:-D 36.486 knots max PB by a few hundredths. Wind was broad so I am really happy with that! Only a few runs over 35, all my 10secs were around mid 33 so huge difference with this wind direction in terms of keeping it going through the chop.

Interesting day only managed to get lit up properly once with a set up im not used to but with a 35.96 2 second and a 34.51 10 second i am sure i can actually get my pb in the harbour with this set up? especially seeing it was square as you can get in the harbour today maybe a broader course will show different speeds?

6.3m SCR Simmer

90 Falcon 2009

C3 venom 32 fin and may i add very nice indeed loads of control in the chop!!!

A new spot record for me.  The speeds alone may not be special but when you have been sailing the same spot for 30 years and you get a spot PB so easy it feels good.  To go 36 knots on harbour water (no wall or mud bank to flatern the water) is a buzz you would have to go 45 knits on flat water to get.  With sessions like this I know that the money I spend on new kit is really making a difference and the work Fanatic/north/select are doing is working for me.

The Falcon 79 is just amazing!  It rides so nice off the tail with perfect control. 2 sessions and 2 spot pbs (Portland) in places I sailed hundredes of times. Looking forward to having a go at Alphas on this as it can really pull some G's round the bends.

The Select S12 elliptical is an old favorite of mine from its past life at the S09.   When the harbour is rough and going fast is all about having faith, control and 'the back not overtaking the front' its the fin to use.  Didn't spin out once today.

Looking foward to a more westerly wind when the harbour is flater and smash this pb.

A nice test of the isonic 90 carbon, felt quick but I need bigger straps next time.

Langstone harbour... fun session testing the W54 against the Falcon 80, really enjoyed sailing the 54 , it was faster than the 80 though not by much.

Think the 54 will be very competitive with 7m/7.2, really smoth through the chop, it feels a quality board with great control.

pb alpha for this spot :)

@pete, I only go there as its the closest water to me lol... why no one else sails here I av no idea :)

Its a bit like Portland in that good speeds are hard to get, and it can be very choppy n gusty, if anyone wants to sail here just let me know and I'll give you a tour haha.

Great hour and alpha Tom, an 18.5knot hour in those winds is a very good achievement.
