Safety Bay, WA, AU

Great day at SB - on the water at noon which was probably a bit early as it swung to SW and picked up to 25 to 30 knots at about 4. A bit stuffed to make the most of it by then.

Early afternoon the wind was WNW - good fun trying to slingshot in the little flat spot in the lee of the sand spit. Soon got pretty bumpy heading down the run though. A little under-powered with the 5.5 most of the time but I was desperate to try the new sail. Very happy with it.

Sailed with Rod first, then Slowy and Matt turned up and later Scarrgo.

F2 SX81, New Hot Sails GPS 5.5, CL 26 - great fin, used it all day and it didn't hook weed once. And it feels super slippery.

Had a quick sail on Chris's 47 - NICE Cool

Safety Bay, WA, AU

snuck out of work at 3:30

and got to the beaver to see it looking pretty windy and alot flatter than i thought

out came the allround kit

and after afew stupidly over powered runs i went in with 5.6 in mind but wind kicked right when i got to the beach so went all the way to the 5.0

great fun with slowie getting some fun runs right on dark, new boom was sweet

all up i'm smashed now, 9 hour day at work starting at 6 then a couple of hours on the water in some pretty epic conditions

6.2 reflex, then 5.0 koncept, both with the 57 mistral sl and 24 custom weedy

Some fun after work at PW with Mark and Pete. Not epic, but nice and cruisy when the wind was on.

Melville, tried the 7.3 and then the 5.8 (wind dropped as soon as I did that !) Both sonics and a couple of fins, nice day out. Had no power at home so good excuse to take the day of.

congratulations on the PBs - wondered where everyone had gone, couldnt imagine you were all at Work

Got home from the W word in a humph! Had put Lurch in the car but the wind had disappeared and had to go home to get the 90.

Got to Wallyworld and it was not looking epic but there were some dark clouds on the way.

Usual Cheese Graters (Perth Chapter) on this direction. 0-20knts in 5m!

One good run out in to the middle of Freshy Bay for the peak. Really happy with the way this board handles in the chop.

Kept getting sucked in till dark.

Chris was cruising nicely while I was slogging. Need to lose a few pies!Embarassed

Knew SB was gonna be good. Well done, Scarrgo!Cool

Gusty shite at Melville Frown

On the water at 4.  Didn't look windy, so went with the 8.4 TR8 + 135 Patrik + 46 Sting.

Not much fun smashing into the chop on this set-up (seemed to be some remnant westerly chop from earlier in the day), so after half an hour I came in to grab the Futura 111 + 40 Sting.

Breeze dropped as soon as I changed down Yell

It came back in fits and spurts, and I managed a few good runs, but it was hard to get in the groove in the gusty conditions.  Brutally overpowered at times on the 8.4.  Sounds like SB was the go, well done on the PB Sean Cool

Brilliant Sean - I saw you smoke a couple of runs as I was leaving - good job Cool

Thanks Snides - I was very careful with Chris's baby. It's quick alright, got over 33 knots on my first little 200m run - not fully powered up.
