TOTALLY STOKED to be back on the water after 6 months. This is the first chance I have had since April to 'zone out' on the board. Great morning session as the wind gradually built up - first time on this board and I am delighted - really comfortable in the washing machine slop and it was a fun-first day for me. Didn't get there early enough to get the best of the shallow flat water but sleeping in is ok once in a while too....
Bring on summer!!!!

Manic Melville with Norts, Anita, Jeff and Col - good fun hooking some of the epic gusts.
Had a 36.5 on port tack in the middle of the chop which was pretty stimulating, but the fastest last run of the day was on starboard, in the shallows where the chop was manageable.
F2SX 81, Code Red 5m on RDM, Lockwood 26 then Vector Speed Weed 26 (2cm shorter than the Lockwood).

Getting there! A second best 2 sec ( and only downgraded by 0.03!)and 3rd best 5X10.
Somewhat overpowered on the 4.9 (especially early on) but it was the smallest I had with me. Had one false start when the front footstrap pulled out right up at the west end of the run requiring a long walk back to the carpark. The conditions were too choppy and overpowered to sail back without the front footstrap.
More hard work than good fun but some decent times considering the conditions.
Nice to catch up with some Pinnaroos I haven't seen much of lately.

Lots of fun early on but when it stepped up it was time to call it a day.

knocked off work early and decided to go for melville not mandurah
was great to catch up with a few team members
had to try and learn how to jybe again though, I think PD and lao had fun watching me stack most of them
went for a couple of nauties but even though you could go very fast out in the middle for a while you were still disrupted once or twice by some ugly chop in the run
all up a good sail on the small kit despite a few good crashes
5.0 koncept (ready to tear in half), 90 mistral sl, 24 custom weedy

4444 days ago Finished the W word and decided to go to Melville and have a crack at a naughty or two.
Great to catch up with a bunch of crew and a top team outing. Good to see the Snake back, swap gear with Macka Packa and see Scarrgo giving it some!
25 had top stack of the day with a big bail at full pelt just before hitting the shore!
Had a yeehhaaargghhh naughty almost across to Peli unfortunately with a bit of a drop in the wind in the middle (might have given the Snake's river naughty PB a tickle otherwise) to smash my river PB.
Oh, have I mentioned THIS BOARD ROCKS! Scored a 37.4 display (heavily realspeeded but a Melville PB) heading back towards the carpark from the corner! and a string of 36s. Mile had a 35 peak. The Loft Blade 6.3 definitely works even better with 8cm extension rather than 6cm when it is windy just keeps accelerating rather than getting you out of shape.

Well done, JJ on top speedster!

Thought the 6.2 might be too much so tried the 5.1 for the first time. Very comfy set up but maybe the 6.2 would have kept me planing a bit more. Good tips from the captain, a slightly larger fin felt heaps better. The captain was smokin' as was Snake (welcome back) and scarrgo was banging out the kms. Congrats JJ - nice speeds and well done Anita, 30 is inevitable!
