Adam (8003km): Safety Bay, WA, AU Futura 101, RS Racing Evo V 7.0, 32cm Vector Weedy Wind was right on the bottom end of 7.0 Weather today so nothing spectacular. Of all the things that can kill you in the sound I had to find a Jelly Fish of some description when I splashed one of my gybes. Have a few welts on the back of my ankles but I will live......I think Joined by Elmo for a change as well as the usual crew of Sammy and Mitch with Rod running ground support whilst injured.
Hammer (558km): Halls Head, WA, AU. (Blue Bay) Had a blast with Pas at Blue Bay. Very small swell but great to get out. Overdone with a 5.8, sholud have gone 5.2. Propper SW breaze which was fab.

Elmo (31542km): Tabou Thunder 70cm, NP RSR Eiii 7.0m, JP Weed 31cm + 36cm. Sailed Safety Bay today expecting the wind to come in, rigged the 7.0 expecting to cop a bit of a spankin but not to be, would a=have been better served with at least a 7.8m. Still it was fun chatting with and dodging a few of the Liptons jiggler danglers, good to catch up with the never ending PB machine Mitch and the broken Rod. Good fun sailing with Adam (thats a saucy looking board). Did one Naughty attempt where I got stuck behind a kiter who was also pinching up wind and couldn't go past him as close as I had to without him spotting me first the rest of the run I was under done so the board didn't fly over the chop so well. Some fun stroking the beaver but powered up just enough to bear away but not enough to get my ya ya's going. Pretty happy that I'm starting to suss this staying dry going around corners lark, it's all starting to gel. Congrats to Mitch, Bono and Hamma for the cavacade of PB's today, Mitch you need to do a bit of work on your PB dance Rod, hope the rib gets better real soon Got home to find that my beloved had made a wicked slow cooked lamb shank dinner which I was about an hour late for whoops, tasted bloody nice though
Sammy the snail (29353km): Safety Bay - arrived late to pick up the left over... the biggest I had was the 5.8, did not expect the wind to drop!! I still went, can do with the trainning.. was just moving on the 5.8, was pleasant when going. Just had enough time to do 5 runs and a naughty before crawling back to shore. In one stage I saw the moppet passing full speed on his battleship down the bar, was quite impressive lol. Nice going on the PBs guys.. Mitch thats enough Misty55, RSR5.8, SS250SP |
