11-02-13 Lake George-SSE 20-28 knots-F2 Missle 2008'ish-KA Koncept 5m-Choco Weed 24cm

Never been on a speed board before ever and 1st time used 5m. Was close to last on the water as gathered some dutch courage to go out...

Got someone to check rigging of sail and got Red's opinion as to mast track placement. Well blow me after couple gybes and setting harness lines properly (new small boom for 5m) just kept on sailing and sailing and sailing. Everything seemed to be perfectly setup!!!!

Was going for alpha's on West side and speed runs just past little island on East side, really doing figure eight laps. Super comfortable all day, stuffed up 6 gybes max, super easy to gbye on the flat water both ends.

Pretty stoked:-)

Lake George, SA, AU : Wind 25 plus.. : SSE

KA koncep 5.0 : Lorch S 83 : 19 Delta then 24 Duo... (thanks Richard)

Not my day.. never felt comfortable, rode the Delta for the first hour or so, could not get over 36 K

Tricky let me borrow (never did give it back) a 24 Duo L (I can't remember the brand)

38 on the screen first run !! I think Delta's will come in to play in a few weeks when the water Get's Flat... way to bumpy right nown !

Great to put a face to some of the legends of the Team Chanllenge

and More wind for tomorrow !!!

Just stuck in the 39's today and couldn't break throuugh the 40.

Lake George, SA, AU Se 25 to 30 F2 missile, 08 5.0 koncept, 24 choco weedy.

have made a few changes but now going back to what i know.

the 08 sail is way flatter than my older 07 and is great across the wind and gybes and hours but lacks punch off the wind.

lent tricky my 07 so couldn't use it today but sorry richard I need it today.

Pj was smoking it and tricky was up with me, impressive.

struggled today until I found some decent flatter sections,

still tuesday, wed and thursday of these se winds to go.

Planed to do some alpha prictice then have a break & give the speed board a spin, plans out the window as the wind seemed to clock in a bit earlyer so borrowed JiMBob 5 koncept that handles so much better than my old one. I owe Jamine now! It was a hard day as I was stuck on the 36's then cracked a 37, then a stack of 38's it seemed to be getting easier, more like I was getting more settled on the 2nd day on the speed board then I cracked a 39.46 on the screen happy stuff. a few more runs but I started to flag so decided I  had better leave a bit for tomorow. Great Day great company & superb tea at the pub, what a finnish to a bunta day.  I am verySmile

Long day up at 4am and cruised down to Lake George got off the water at 5.30pm, funny day couldn't quite get dialled into the conditions used my new 5.5 for the first time and demo RS Speed Board got best run of 41.78knts on it but didn't want to damage it so only did a few runs.Great to meet and catch up with other crews down there.

First session - 1 Hr mission.

I was hoping for 28+ but things were a bit slow in the middle of the lake with some confused chop.  Last year was much flatter through the middle.  Very happy to do it on a custom weedy I have been working on - great on the reach and slippery off the wind.

Second session

Got on the JP49 Speed after the 2 hour mission earlier.  I found it hard jagging any long gusts down the bottom today but it was nice to see a 43 on the screen.  I'll save the speed for a big day as I couldn't get out of an audit tomorrow which is meant to be a little stronger.

Fantastic PJ, I thought you must have been enjoying yourself, you were still out when we left.

so now you're wondering why you didn't let JimBob talk you into it earlier?

I have a feeling you'll be seen a lot more on that missile!

Jamie, what happened to that sextion of water near Cockies, that I did my PB;s on?  Has it become too Shallow? It seemed perfect!  Have things changed that much in 3 weeks?

Hardie I just wasn't getting on in that area and seemed a bit more rougher today but other crew had there pbs there,i had my top speeds all around the islnd where it was funneling through and a bit flatter actually betweeen the island wasn't a ripple.

the water got real stirred up and milky when the wind really cranked and the weed seemed to sink back down instead of rising to the sun

Embarassed , that said i was pretty crap today just lost my mojo.Wink  hope to get it back today.

still some good speeds to come in I know off a good hour thats not on here yet,
