JP SLW 92, NP RS1 11m, JP SLW 56cm.

After 2 weeks of doldrums, and a hint of yellow arrows on the Seabreeze forecast (yes I was desperate using that) decided to go down for at least some rigging prctise as it's been such a long time.

Stroppo was down there giving a masterfull demonstration of dogging, the wind was light, but we were desperate, seriously desperate!

Got out and even I was dogging on the seriously large kit, fark it was light! eventually got enough t get going, twas some fun buzzing back and forth but even with the fatty boomballata kit I was still dropping of the plane.

New low speed planing record today 12.66knots in the harness & footstraps and no sail or board pumping.

Been of the water that long that my hands had gone all soft, great for sex but shite for sailing, ripped up 4 fingers even with changing grip technique to front hand over which commits heaps more weight to the harness still choppoed upthe mitts.

Packed up and the wind looked to be filling in with Decrep, Stroppo and Shane starting to rip it up(plane).

Desperate fun

At last a sail!!!!!

Started off with the 7.0 GtX on big board, but as soon as Alby went in the wind started to pick up, got to the stage the 7.0 was a bit uncomfortable, probably just need more downhaul, but I'm keen to try out the 5.8 on a different mast. Came in for lunch and riged the 5.8 intending to put it on the 53. But after lunch the wind has backed off again, so I plug the 5,8 into big board instead. Wallowed around for a while, but the wind improved, and spent almost half the time planning. Got my best speed on this rig.

The stiffer middle section mast seems better, gives more draft and head twist

Well done Mike, sorry I couldn't hang around and back you up better when the wind picked up. My soft cock hands are going take a bit of healing

Nice work on the day
