Stopped off at the lake on my way to work at 8:30, and after checking it out quickly decided to change my plans and go to work late today! Desperately in need of some TOW with Green Island only a month away.
Wind dropped for a bit while I was rigging, and I bobbed out in about 10 knots, hoping for a gust. Drifted back to the shore and had a bit of a walk of shame. Was about to pack up then wind came back and filled in pretty well by 10am. Had some good runs back and forth and was trying to practice gybes. Great to be on the water and John, Gert and Cluffy turned up a bit later on and were blasting around when i left.

Gusty moderate south easterly. perhaps 12-15kts with the odd gust up to 20.
I tried out the new board, but only had a 6.0m sail and needed a lot more.

Saw a few people get axed today , INCLUDING ME, hope everyone is ok , gear can be replaced .
After writing my car off the night before and hitting a bank first run and smashing my boom to pieces was a bit rattled for a while and considered calling it a day , Glad i went back out , and stoked with the pbs .The run was a bit short and was only really starting to wind it up at the end of the run , Was taking to long to get set and up to speed for the sweet spot . Its all a good learning curve . Was great so many people came out and took it on , Super hard place to get to . a struggle the whole out and back and also rigging up .The sand blowing around was insane . Everyone who got pbs really earnt it and i respect you all . Special mention to Byron , Who was KILLING IT ,have learnt alot from you mate , thanks !!!!!!!
