Herby (14385km): Kurrimine Beach Not a lot of wind but good to catch up with Rossco and Hoppy. Going ok till hit the bottom and broke the u joint Had to walk back about a km. Nasty bark on my shin which opened up an old scar and kicked something which opened up an old foot wound. 6.6m Loft 02 and 120l s/cross. Hoppy and I are parked right on the beach....the cold weather has finally reached FNQ and last night Kurrimine dropped down to a freezing 16c and expect the same tomorrow.

Kel (36803km): Great day sailing at Green and then Michelmas with Cam, Toody and Bob. Headed over early in Cams Boat to make the most of the tides and to try Michelmas in the super low tide. Had planed to sail to Arlington for the first session but the conditions for the crossing were to much for me so I chickend out. Had good fun on the eastern run until the water ran out. After sailing green we all derigged and made the crossing in the tinny and rerigged in the warm water of michelmas, great sailing along the reef edge with heaps of fish, turtles and rays. Thanks for the trip Cam! Awsome day out! Used Overdrive 6.0 Isonic Speed 49 and C3 SS 21 for the sail at green and Isonic 90 and C3 Venom 30 at Michelmas.
Eddy (24342km): Port Douglas, QLD, AU Got to beach for happy hr with my mate Rick 'Big Dog' and my good friend Simmie..It was one of those arvo's when you are not sure what to rig.. So if in doubt rigg big.. Out came 7.3m sail and big fin on 101 Falcon..Was a good choice was blasting straight off the beach and wind soon kicked in to a solid 18 to 20 Kts.Spent a bit of time helping Rick fine tune his gybes he was going great..tide started to come in so i sailed south from sailing club to kite beach with Rick and Simmie in hot pursuit so we could have an easy run home if wind dropped out..wind stayed fresh and i was maxed out on big gear..Rig felt good and i wanted to stay blasting till dark and clock up a few km..Was honking hard out the back when i heard a nasty cracking sound and boom went loose and felt very limp.Threw it straight into a gybe and limped back to beach at close inspection boom head was cracked almost completely through..So it was game over for me..Went home feeling ripped off and pissed off..Another carbon boom in the wheelie bin..Cheers Ed..
Toody (4147km): QLD, AU. Isonic 87/49, Overdrive 6.2, 30 venom

Firiebob (17904km): Green Island & Michaelmas Cay - Two files through KA72 but posted manually. Big adventure, thanks Cam. In Cam's boat we went to Green and sailed, boated to Michaelmas and sailed then a hell ride home, never been so wet in a boat. Great to share the adventure with Capt Kel and Toodo After watching Cam fighting his gear on the way to Arlington and my own little test run I aborted that idea and stayed at Green. Tide was dropping like a rock so I only did 14Km, too scared I was going to belt the reef. Michaelmas was an awesome experience, talk about paradise, sunny skies, crystal clear water with mobs of fish and a few turtles, 5km runs. Poop loads of wind but a little choppy for me, sitting here I feel like a truck has mowed me down, lots of aches I can tick Michaelmas off my bucket list now Oh yeh, Mad Cam risked life and limb (literally) for a Nm at Arlington only to have his GPS die yet again, talk about spewing Carbon Art SL58 Red Rocket, 30cm Venom, Loft 5.8 Switchblade and yep boardies.
Sausage (22853km): Big stuff - Lammermoor Beach, QLD, AU SE 5-10kn It was too nice a day to pass up a slog on the water. Numbers tell the story though.
dr cam (41674km): Arlington Reef /Green IS/Michaelmas Reef Wind Strong & gusty 20-25kn SSE Gear RSR E 5 6.4 Iso 80 Venom 32 Awesome day tarnished somewhat by a screen freeze ~ 20mins into my Arlington Session (no back up GPS) Had big plans but cut short the Arlington session as I thought no data was being saved . Getting there was a high adrenalin adventure -spent the entire crossing ~ 6klms attempting to depower the rig & keep the board on the water rather than airborne !! The water on the course was smoothing out by departure time but was pretty chopped up initially -wide of the course the chop is simply bone crunching -ahhhrr -there simply isnt an easy way to get to the top of the course so spent most of my session trying to hold ground . Michaelmas was simply stunning .It was a .27 low which is not low enough for things to be really smooth but man that 7 nm Run square to the wind has to be experienced to be believed-CHECK out FIRIE BOB's you tube video of the session . Big Big day -thanks to Kel/Toody & Firie for the experience & a huge thanks to Firie for helping in the data retrieval process.
