Phil Bennett (4130km):
4166 days ago Queens Lake, NSW, AU Veeeeery gusty run at Queens. Nice flat water over at the mud bank, but just squals from 5-18 knots, half the time just chuggin 'along, had a few nice long runs. Dion and Steve arrived as I got out. hope the wind settled a bit for you. 93 Type-S 6.6 GP2.

Nearly didn't bother, but decided on a short sail short sail on my own, seeing as I was there and the rain looked as if it was holding off anyway .Glad I didn't opt for a surf earlier. The ordinary conditions didn't inspire, and went with Hawk 93LTD. Finworks 11.5" and 6.0 Gaastra GTX, a combo a like for the not so flat water.
As I chose to go in after a mostly gusty and holey S-SSE wind of 10-20ki, I thought it best to get back upwind and head in, the squall of the day came through at about 25k and I let it go.
Only wished I could have bore off more. I certainly felt on the edge and just held on only for the fin to let go at the end and then was going at 25knots sideways.Headed back in after that. The water was fairly weed free too, and could have use a better fin! Hoped for a good nautical on that last run and am happy for the numbers.
