Very gusty 20 - 30knt westerly, great direction for Trial Bay but also about 1m choppy swell. It was hard work but lots of fun.
5.3 NP wave sail, F2 Stoke 116 and 29cm wave fin.

Phil Bennett (4130km):
4135 days ago Queens Lake, NSW, AU Too windy for me... Started off with 6.6 GP2 and near got lifted off the water. Then rigged a 5.7 Severn wave sail. Bit better, but still too much in the gust. Highlights- pulled off a good long chop hop, and made two fast gybes, one with planning exit. Getting closer! Steve was out and making it look all too easy- bastard...lol

5.5 Vapor, AB54, 28BP weedfin. Underpowered early on the 5.5 in around 18kts. Started building so in for more downhaul, and went searching for some flat water. Leeward side of the islandwas ok with small chop and Peter went up to the windward side of the island and was looking quick, went up and the water was flatter and shallower with longer runs. The wind picked up further and was having problems with my front foot coming out of the strap and did have one big stack because of it. A couple more runs and was way overpowered by now and called it quits, just not match fit.
Sailed with Pete, Bill, Anton, Rob and Jason

Another good sail at Canton today, the wind was up and down 5-25 knots. Went out on my Bic Vivace 149L raceboard with 7.3m loft and 31JP weedy to start with and got a 32.7 knots then changed boards to a S type Starboard 126L which I went a little quicker.
Sailed with Johnny, Mick, Pugs, Hugh, Byron, Bill and Jeff. Very Cold!!!

Cold. Really cold. The cold was ok, the weed wasnt. Worst I've seen it. I hit the floating weed islands and got catapulted three times. Really puts you off your game. But good to get a sail finally.

Just got out in time for a late one at Queens, after finishing my obligation at Kempsey.Sailed alone and had a few nice runs in a somewhat gusty and dying breeze from the WSW at 15-22k.Bit Choppy with some of the veering gusts too, mixed in with some flatter water in between. Hawk 93LTD.finworks 10.5 and 6.0GTX.
Amazing, as back on the highway the wind was howling all the way back.Sounds like I missed a good day at the Sailing Club from the reports I hear from Peter.
