Started off really light then after an hour it started to pick up. Gusty but great to be back on the water again. About a dozen sailors all up.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU Fun blast at Queens with Steve and Mark H. Soooooo flat over on the mud bank, great for my dodgy gybes and very relaxing at speed. Stoked to sail the lake again, great place and usually with a great bunch of people. Gusty sthly 5-20 knots, Futura 111 and 6.6 GP2

Gosford, NSW, AU Sailed in front of my house on Point Frederick. S-SE 15-17knots. First time on new JP SS 73. Sailworks NX race 8.2 2012. Big swells and savage chop and boat wakes.

Sail with Steve & Phil. Was about 18 knot's constant SW when I rigged up at about 8.30am. IS 101, 6m,
Went out and wind swung to the S. Hard time keeping the board afloat. Wind die off and I was stuck in the water most of my session.
Trying to get back to get a bigger board & sail, when the turbin broke off the top of my sail.
Took over 1 hour to get in. When to rig up my 6.7m and realized I had left the mast extension for that sail at home.
Just bad luck than more bad luck.
Steve and Phil got there as the wind had die off a bit and went with the bigger gear.
Going to have to get a I-Sonic 107 or 110 for days like this.
I-Sonic 101 / 6m VMG / 31 JP Weed.

Canton Beach, NSW, AU 2 sessions today. Pretty off and on, Morning sesh was pretty good with Johnny, Pugs, Pete and few others out SSW 10/15 121 Falcon 7.5 Koncept 31 jp weedy. Second sesh in the arvo for an hour was very average SSE 5/18 and underdone with 6.6 Koncept 92 Jp Slalom 26 weedy. (Love that combo, but not today) Good to see Rexy. Also good to see the very hard working Miller on his new Ka race sail which look super sweet. Glad you made the switch Johnny, you won't regret it. Go Marauders!!!!

Harrington, New South Wales, AU.
Falcon 113 (HMAS Big Bird), KA Race 7.1, Meanline 36cm.
Wind: Southerly, around say 15-18kn, enough for me to be comfy on a 7.1.
What a fun day on the water - the best in fact since some of the easy sessions i had on big gear at Sandy Point in Oct last year. Water was dead flat, wind was square and straight across the sandbar so it was just racing up and down the sandbank on my big gear. Fun, Fun, Fun! Sailed with Mark Jordan who was cranking - we had a ball.
This is the first chance I have had to have a good sail on the KA RAce - stable, fast, easy gyber, easy to rig, what more can I ask? Also a 2sec PB for HMAS BigBird and she handled it across the wind with grace.

Umina Beach, NSW, AU - SSE 20-25 knots
Two sessions today - first one used NP 5.3 Zone with my Fanatic Goya 80L wave board with 26cm wave fin. Did not use GPS as it was a bit hard just keeping the board in the water due to the size of the waves and the bumpy swell. A bit full on wave sailing for 45 minutes.
Second session smaller waves and a tad less wind so I put the rig on the Naish 85L with 26cm weed free wave fin. Used the GPS. The speed channel to Shark Alley started to work so I went there for quite a few sweet runs. Got a few duckies in as well. Made sure I was not in the way of the ferry this time.
Happy with the day as it was better than predicted. Hope Canton was good....
Cheers lads.

Pretty good day bit underpowered on the flat water. 6.0 GPS, JP SL Race 92 with a 28 Black Project Weed Speed. First day on the board i liked it but need to take out with a straght fin and or a biggger sail to get a good idea whether to get it or not.

New launching spot today thanks to Matt K. SSW-S turning SSE later at 15 -25k. Very choppy to start and headed off downwind to the weed bank at Rob's suggestion and definitely flatter, but a whole lot weedier. Bill, Anton on some new gear, Andre, Matt K , and Rob on water plus a few blow ins. Falcon SL104 34 BP weedy then 38.
Two sessions after a "tea break". Second one was getting very holey and some rogue gusts. Part of a cat rudder was a bit of an obstacle out there today. A few of us got pretty close without knowing. Well done Bill on towing it out! Good to be out again. You can never have too much windsurfing.

Wallis Lake, NSW,
My weedfin was a weed magnet today. I just could not shake the damn thing out and get going! Never felt so frustrated windsurfing as of today. On the positive side, good to meet up with everyone at Camp Elim where there is a good rigging and launching area.
