Canton Beach, NSW, AU

Quick dawn session on the way to work up the coast. Light, but a few nice runs. Not long, but a great way to start the day. 8.0 HSM GPS, 125L Falcon, 36 JP Weedy.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU Fun blast at Queens, nice steady southerly 14-20 knots I guess, and lovely and flat over on the weed / mud banks. Steve came out late and timed it even better with the building wind. Happy daysSmile 6.6 GPS, 111 Futura, 36 cm weedie.

Lake Munmorah, NSW, AU

It looked OK when I got home from work so I rigged up and went out! The wind died so quickly! What a contrast from last Friday!

Forcast wrong again , lucky to be 12 -15 knots southerly , very disappointing

Sailed with Greg

Gosford, NSW, AU - SSE 12-18 knots initially but slowly dropped during the session to SE 12 knots. NP 8.2 H2 + JP 122L + Jp 36cm weedie.

Sailed with Paul Davies from his house, but it was very choppy and gusty to start with and I thought my gear was too big for the breeze for the first 40 minutes or so. Got bounced all over the place and had a hard time staying in control. Hard work all round getting upwind today!

Then as we worked our way upwind and got past Tascott, it gradually eased and became more manageable sailing. Got to the small roadside park at Murphys Channel, Koolewong & had a rest. Then we came back downwind on some long reaches which was a lot of fun. Came back in feeling a tad nackered after a big session.

Cheers Marauders.

No probs Rob, let me know when you're keen- and grab Anton. Basically you want low tide from midday onwards (ideally 2-6pm), and 15 plus nor-east- then hang on!...lol

SPEED POINTERS - Right, I need some help from the fast guys. The last 4 outing I've hit 29 knots each time and feel quite comfy. I've been using my Futura with a 36 cm weed fin. If I try it with my 30 cm weedie, is it liable to push over 30 knots under the same conditions?  Cheers for any tipsSmile
