First sail in the pond since they started dredging. Good to see some other sailors out there reminding the kiters.

Mainly sailed there to reaffirm that i can still gybe. Still would like to make a few more than i did Embarassed

Happy with the alpha on this gear.

*note - for those who don't know yet, the underwater dredging pipe now runs directly down the speed strip, so sailors beware.* Yell

nice afternoon sail with all the usual locals wind was a bit light and rigged to small making the light wind seem worse and a wind change while i was on the eastern side of the estuary didnt help the cause but all in all nice afternoon

Not as fun as I would have Liked.

Thinking there was more wind than there was, on my first run I stupidly followed Huey way past boundary Island were I was abandoned and left to fend for my self.

I then began to feel the effects of a poorly chosen Fin and bugger all wind.

Lots of grovelling and walking over the sand bar and then more grovelling up wind I finally joined back with the others who appeared to be having a lot more fun.

No harm done I finished with a couple of runs past the rock garden, but I was a spent force by then so decided to drag my sorry arse out of the water and drink beer instead.

At best it was a learning experience.

Go Mitch! I remember when we were alternating PB's in the gybing department. Now you're way ahead. I have some catching up to do!

Congratulations Rod on the hr PB. Maybe rigging too small is the answer?

Thanks Stroppo. Do you want to come over and wipe his tears?

I just have to work on getting more time on the water. Need to find a good babysitter.

Back to work tomorrow - YUK. Cry

And yes I did have to go home and cook dinner - all waiting when the boss got home.Sealed

Mitch, so how come you have a "0" alpha?
