3937 days ago 7.1m ka, Elton, 35cm pepster. Novara, 14-20 kts. Left the fibreglass in the mould and headed down to Novara while the southerly was fresh. Tried for an hour but consistent unco-ordination left me foundering in some gybes and over done in others...Lovely day to be out anyway

Early sesh at ye ol' Beaver.
Was nice and smooth on the incoming tide and i only had to bunnyhop the pipe once
Happy with the Nm but really wanted to nail a 20kn alpha today.
Oh well can't complain too much. 5 out of 7 days sailing this r+r.
Happy days.

I Was the only speedy out at the Beaver today, dredge is right on the very outside probably finishing the last of the shipping channel it has created meaning the run was wide open. Dredge pipe is still running over the shallows but when I stopped to check I had about 30cm of clearance under the fin. Still gives you a firght as you cannot see it until too late to take proper evasive action.
I did a few runs just checking out the run and got 36's and 37's, when I decided which line I was going to run I eased a bit of outhaul then laid down a 38, next run I didn't touch a thing had nor wind at the slingshot point buit sailed into a gust in the way down getting my 39 and oh so close. Could not repeat it, tide had come in a bit more chop was all over the bar had a massive spinout as I was attempting to slingshot next run ended up bailing and having to swim and run after my gear then finally I rail tripped on the next attempt at low speed whilst dicking around trying to find the back footstrap. Laid down one more at 37 and called it.
Wind was gusting to 36 on my little hand held wind meter when I was packing up
Result of the day =

Sailed early arvo on the slalom kit. Once wind booted changed down to the speed kit and managed to destroy a brand new sail on the second run. But did get my peak just before. Ohhhhh what could have been

Braved the arvo freeway traffic only to find i was missing old faithful...the 25 Fudge Weed, DOH! Found a suitable fin which I had never used before and after attacking it with the cordless grinder in the carpark all was good and off I went
Straight across the channel in search of a NM but found some beautiful flat water in ELMO-LAND and a 37.26..woohoo!!! But the day kept getting better
This place never fails to deliver :D Lots of happy faces in the carpark afterwards with a really good turnout from a number of teams

Started on 6.6 Koncept,58 F2 sx-racing, 17 Maui Ultra Delta speed
finished on 5.0 Koncept 49 F2 missile racing, 23 vector dsw, 24 Pepeweedy.
Fun time on the new Maui Ultra sailing in ankle deep water, really opens up the estuary and points real well.
Came in for Pen to have a blast only to watch the wind really pick up, as usual a gentleman giving her the best of the wind.
After going back out had a couple of good runs and then took of on the NM run, My first WOO HOO moment of this speed sailing shit. Then my harness line snapped way down the end of the run.
came in and changed booms and fin to Pepe's weedy but by the then the strong wind had mellowed and started gettin holey.
Awesome to finally have everything come together on the NM.Yeefarkinhaaa.
Enough about myself ,Huge congrats to Penny well done
