Another big day at the lake. Drifted out on the 7m at first but it wasnt long before I got hammed by one of the many squalls coming through. Changed down to the 6.3 but kept on the big board and fin. Biggeer board was very comfortable and had many long fast runs for the choppy conditions.Gave up early today as just worn out from the chop and the big session yesterday. Staying at the lake tonight so hopefully one more session tomorrow.Smile

Another great day at the lake wasnt looking good early squally wind but then it came in nicely.

Started on the 7 and got blow away so Decided to try the new Reflex5 5.6 to give it a stretch. not really speed sailing conditions but good to try it out.

Felt great when the gust come through very stable and controllable. I have to say i never used a race sail that rotated as good as these do.

Gear IS97, OD7 then Reflex 5 5.6, Viper 34

Same gear as yesterday after first trying my Bullet 7.0 before deciding descretion was the better part of valor. The gust were stronger, muscles tied, brain fuzzy. The chop was epic - I thought I was going faster! Great fun sailijng with the Bayside Boys

Nice day in the end. When I arrived it was a constant 24knots gusting to 30knots. There were 12 people out on the water mostly on wave gear and it looked rough so I waited a while and ended up on the bump and jump gear which was a great choice as I would have hurt myself on the slalom gear. Great to meet George from Gold Coast team as well. I'll be interested to see results from your slalom gear. Old F2 Axxis 261 85L - Old NP VX LTD 5.5m Yeeha!

Lake George, Drove from Near Phillip Island and made it to camp and then hitched the swag then sail time.

Great sailing with about 8 out! had a few runs yesterday with a few before they dropped off as wind eased!

Was going to race (and it was called off anyway due to winds) and decided to go for some distance.

The Lake was so up and down, one minute it was blowing 25 plus and then 5, seemed to be around 20 plus, enjoyed the long runs but did not enjoy the inconsistent winds, largely due to the many rain/wind sqalls.

Hey Tony masts and sails can be replaced ,at least you came away from it just about unscathed. Lucky.

You sail on the edge so the odds are there for a decent stack once in a while .

Hang in there mate.

Jarrafe pity you missed the best wind, it was supposed to peak as you went out, but it also wasn't meant to get as strong as it did.

You made the best of it anyway, 2 PBs can't be sniffed at, well done mate.

I think this is going to be a great alpha spot, I tried one but went miles too wide, it would be good to have a marker out there.

Thanks Curtis. I couldn't find a park down the end with you guys so ended up in the middle and by the time I was packed up you guys were leaving. We will catch up next time for sure as I don't mind it there in a SE with high tide.

Nice PB's from the MBM again.
