Melville Beach, WA, AU

A nice test for rehab of torn thigh muscles. Physio said to have a couple of short sessions to test them out and this first session went well.

Xfire 80, Koncept 6.6. 30 speed weed.

Patrick was going as fast on his big board as I was on my small board, well done.

Coodanup. Tabou 105 and a 115 with 6.4 KA.  Switched boards, then a slight wind direction change and it started to die off, so gave it away for today. Water not quite as flat or the breeze on song like I thought it would have been. Buttttttt got wet Cool

Fangman out blasting away, haveing a ball. He needs to get a ral car thoughWink Bloody buzz box he had there today, how embarasment Dunno how he fits into it.Laughing  Liked his method of transporting his "one piece mast" Laughing Like a jousting session.

Melville - Futura 101, Overdrive 6.5 - started with a Drake 38cm fin but was airborne and not in control, Changed to a 32cm and was sliding sideways like a drift car.  Time to start learning about fins.

Melville Beach, WA, Turbo 6.5m, Patrik 135, 115, CL38, 34

What a great afternoon. Classic Melville, gusty but nice and flat. Pretty crowded by the end but the flats were only being used by a few so I tried to stay up that end.

I really wanted to try the new fins on the big board. A few squirts with the 38 had me thinking that the 34 could have enough grip and I was not dissapointed Surprised. First time over 30kts on an 85cm board Cool. Could have gone faster with some more tuning - the sail needed more downhaul. Stoked!

Plugged in the 115 + 34 fin for the rest of the session, loads of fun.

Ricey was looking the goods on the small gear. Benny was out for a sail and joined by Jet for the first time in a year.

Great way to cap off a long weekend.

Awesome day blasting around the river. I had to leave early so probably missed the best of it but a sweet sesh anyway.

Loving my new clockwood fin.

Liptons, CA Speed and Koncept 5.8, the 6.6 is in for repair so made do with the smaller sail. Probably should have rigged the 7.3 in hindsight but it was quite easy and comfy with the little sail. lots of holes in the wind so hard to get and consistency. Good fun though.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU Liptons. 18-20 knots 5.7K, 47M, 24 elmo weedy

The wind never kicked in (there was more on the river!) so it was a cruisy session. Speeds were disappointing, but generally good fun zooming along on flat water or nice rolling swell. Not many at Liptons, surprising after the big turnout last time. I felt really good today and scored a top 5 distance and nm. Must be the Nurofen I took before sailing after I was stung by a wasp and my knee was really throbbing.

Technique breakthrough: I learnt how to jump weed off the fin today. Very handy!

An enjoyable outing at Liptons with a few of the team and a few locals. A little more wind would have been nice but it wasn't to be.

Didn't bother too much with peak speed as the wind was not balistic. Was on a mission today to practice my jybes and do a few km. Happy with the numbers...

Fun sesh at Liptons. Breeze had some nice gusts, but was a tad holey and I was a bit underdone at times on the M95 + 7.0TR9 + 28 FO weedster combo. Still a good sesh that made up for disappointing couple of days in Bunbury slogging on the formula gear.

GS, huge on a PB, well done Cool. Fin drift, try moving rear harness line back in increments of 10mm, till you stop loosing traction and into a drift slide. Smile

Fangman, The only one taking anabolics in our household is the guinea pig! (And I do mean of the Cavia porcellis variety)!

Thanks Geoff, Jeff and Greg for the company at Liptons. Good speeds there Greg. It was hard to go fast today.

WOW Geoff! Nice gybing and distance PB's, and a second best hr & nm too! You said you wanted a distance PB today. Smashed it! Turned out the conditions were great for distance.

Well done on the 5X PB GS!

Ricey, good to see you back on the water!

JJ, it's bad enough to skive off and go wave sailing, but to not post numbers, that's (almost) unforgiveable!

For you, I'll make an exception (this time). Wink
