Christchurch Estuary, NZ  62 Carbon Art.  TR 7  6.3  Vector Rocket 34 then Volt 40  when the water got deeper

Nice little sail on the Estuary Under powered most of the time but still good fun.

Greenpark, a bit more water after last weeks rain still not enough to get up beside the sand bar so out in the chop for a lot of the run.

Rattling the fillings on some runs. It will be nice to get back onto the real flat water.

WInd went quite steady 25kts+ for a while.Used the 6.3 this time so had a bit more drive.

Started off on the Wideboy 22 fin then tried my new 23cm asy fin design.

Nice, accelerates hard on the bear offs and goes through the lulls really well. I guess because there is so little drag.

I designed it with not excessive camber and so it goes upwind on the 'bad' side quite ok. Its raked at 37 degrees but you would never pick it as it still has a lot of power.

Mykz SL54. Maui TR7 6.3, Mykz Wideboy 22 then Mykz Asy 23 fin

Green park huts. Turned up with 15 to 20knots blowing. Was only getting around 33 knots peak board speed during the first hour but then the wind increased and so did the speeds. Getting slowly closer to the bar on each run. Generally the peak speed is only 1 knot faster than the 10sec. falcon 79, R4 6.2, Mykz 22/25

Close speeds.

Your pic shows that we're still well away from the sand bar and the runs are short.

It will be nice to have more water and be able to use the whole run.

And just look at the speed difference between GPark and the Estuary!!

Thought you said your 6.3 was slow. Thats a pb for my R4 6.2 Smile. 10 knots faster than the estuary but think we had 10knots more wind at least. Didnt know Terry was here. Might get some wind this week

Yep, Tuesday Late afternoon looks very similar wind, strongest around 7pm.

I'll be there.

Will use the 5.9 next time. I reckon its faster. Certainly feels that way.

Had one GPS in my hat. Gave me 0.15kt faster mile than on my arm.
