Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

Great to finally get out after so long. 6.6 Gaastra M6, Mick's Starboard 50L, and 15cm MUF, maybe I should have put on my 21cm, 15 spun out quite easily.....scared the shit out of me on more than one occasion (had to check my wetsuit for some monkey monsters afterwards).

Great to see everyone, good to meet you finally Mark. J and AJ You were both moving out there.

Happy with my PB too, didn't think I would have gotten that, should be quite a few today though!

Frothie, what can I say, you were flying and that was out of the straps, the big aircraft carrier gets moving. Good to see mate.

Started with 8.5 got blow'n of the water changed to 7.5 witch worked great got pb of 26 knots which was fun without being in the foot straps glad its so flat out there. Great to finally so g'day to another northener Adam good to see Mark again hope the trip paid of for you both. Mentor Mick, Milsey, Greg K (thanks heaps for the Need it) Wayno, old Pete, Larko (brave stuff with the ribs brother) Great day. Cut Sick Marauders!

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Good day today with a gusty W/N/ Westerly 15/30knts. Heaps of dudes out all flying and FROTH really looked amazing!! Honestly you have to see to believe, such effort to go that fast on a board definately not designed for that. Great to see AJ and Mark make the effort to come done and I think they will be rewarded for there effforts as well. Good to see ya Pugsy, been ages. Hope your ribs get better Larko. Matty A, I cant wait to see what you can do on a sail thats less than 10 y/o. 92 Jp slalom 5.7 Koncept 18 Delta and last 1/2 hour on my 50l 46.5 w Isonic with 18 Delta for the first time.  Awesome got my top speed on that and maybe alpha. Can't believe how awesome that gybes. WOW! Then wind backed and I had to walk in. Toe nail ripped off from strap early in the sesh and water was that cold that I didnt feel a thing. Thats one good thing about the cold. Into the XXXX Gold pain killers now and they are working a treat. GO MARAUDERS!!!

I got a PB for the shortest sail. Boofhead here forgot my contacts so couldnt see the weed clumps. One run out, saw Lako standing in the water. Jump off, have a chat to Larko, then back to the shore. That was it.

At least I know know that it is exactly 2.075 km out to the sailing area.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - Ah Westerlies, what can you say about them?

Chose the 5.3 Zone today after going too small yesterday. Thought it was too much for the 6.5, but used the CA SL55 with a 19cm MUF - first time for that combo and it was good most of the time.

Sailed with Mick (minus one toenail), Milsy, Pugs (without the eyes in), LM Bruce, Cockroach Chris plus a few others. Still bloody cold but at least I wore gloves and booties which worked a treat today.

Stopped for a drinks break and went back out to try and do a good solid hour on the plane but it only lasted 30 minuted before the wind died.

Cheers Maraudres.

Queens Lake, NSW, AU

Sailed with Steve. At first was crap till it came in. I was then over powered with the 6.7m.

Came in to changed down to a 6m but ran out of time. Had to go.

Never made it to the Mud Bank speed run. I didn't have enough time to get down there and back.

New spot is good to launch from. Some poles under the water that need marking.

Easy today to get to the Mud Bank from the North Side.

Wind was stronger than the Port Airport readings.

I-Sonic 107 / 6.7m VMG / 31 JP Weed.

100 Skate, 5.5 Fusion.  Very on and off but fun sail at Phil's house.  Poor Phil had to work.  Just Tony and I out until a third sailor joined us late.

I can't believe I've been lucky enough to score 5 days sailing on my unplanned compulsory EOFY week off.  So grateful and stoked Cool

Falcon 51, KA Race 6.3, Delta 19

First go on a speedboard today. The 51 was a bit small for my weight today given the really gusty wind, but when the gusts were in I was glad I had it because it was so sweet to ride a small board across the flat water. Best scores I have had in NSW water so far - sweet.

What a fun day at Budgie. Good to meet Frothie, Old Pete, Pugs, MAtt.A., and of course to sail with Mick and Johnny again - two champions right there, big distances, hardly ever stopping and great scores too. Good to see Greg on his week off and get a sail with him - been so long mate.

Thanks to Mick, Johnny, Greg and Frothie for giving me the low down and being so accomodating at your home spot. Was a great day trip and i will be back in the next big westerly to resample that flat water. Thanks MArk.J. for the invite and driving us down and back - a bloody successful roadtrip mate - ta - we should do it more often.

Thanks Captain......I was going to sail Queens tomorrow but after today's epic adventure and sailing session I am phucked.

Frothy, Thanks for the bear hug man it was nice to meet you. Congrats on the PB, I saw some of your runs and all I can say is: RESPECT. Moving such a hulking board that fast is impressive - keep it up mate. Imagine how it will be when your new board arrives, there will be no stopping you.

Dion it would have been awesome to have you on board today. Next time for sure.

Phil, you would love it for sure, acres of flat water with the odd clump of floating weed to dodge. This spot is a killer and worth the drive on a good forecast!
