bushfire (26346km):
3787 days ago Primbee, NSW, AU Westerly, up to 45 knots!
A great wind forecast, and a sunny day - just like paradise.
The usual suspects at Primbee + Isaac - a good bunch of guys. Jase was first out in only a moderate wind and I followed soon after with the 90/6.2 combo. Good fun, and reasonably flat water. I could only last a bare hour before having a break and a gasbag with the guys.
The wind was picking up and being a bit more consistent so I rigged the 5.6 and ventured out on the W49 speed board. Another good fun hour session with the occasional 30 knot + gust. Of course as the wind was picking up so was the chop making fast speeds quite hard to achieve. First time out with the 20/50 OH fin - very nice and predictable.
After lunch break the wind really powered in - the white mist was forming on the water, and I was glad I was on the shore! A bit of a lull in the wind tempted me to go back out on the 90/5.6 combo but after one run the wind cranked up again. The run back to base was mainly the walk of shame - too windy for me! Fortunately no broken anything - I'm getting soft in my old age
