Melville Beach, WA, AU

No surprise it was gusty, but not  too bad, and wind with sun a plus for winter sailing, so all in all a good session.

Xfire 98 (just right in the lulls) with KA 5.8 (just right in the gusts) and CLW 29.

Majestic Point, WA, AU

Quick session off Pelican Point this afternoon. First time out since March so the cold weather was a bit of a shock to the system. It was a good session, no amazing results but it was great to get out there again. Using the 80L isonic and 5.9m Code Red.

Melville, Kode 122, OD 6.5 - Over powered badly in the gusts.  In my attempt to tame the beast, I put on too much downhaul to damage the head of the sail.  Good excuse to look for a 6ish meter sail.

Safety Bay, WA

Fun afternoon with Lezz and Alan, took the M112 first and did a NM - the 28 fin was awesome in the mega chop in the bay.

Destroyed the bottom panel of my 6.6 at about 3.30, so rigged the 7.3 and the wind promptly booted in to around 25 knots Surprised

I had swapped boards to the 91 with the 24 fin so even though over powered, it was nice and controllable.

Wind stayed west all day so the runs were across the bar and very short, some nice flats though off the point.

Safety Bay, WA, AU

7.0 overdrive, Xfire 90, FO 32 weedy then 6.0 overdrive and FO 30 weedy when the wind picked up.

Not a great wind direction and by the time the wind filled in it was getting really shallow

Safety Bay, WA, AU 105rocket 6.6 ssr, first 26 weed did not get me back, 31 weed worked well. I did not see I was that fast but like Safety Bay it has a habit to break sails, first a little then in 4 places. Old 2001 sail I had it from new was on its last legs anyway. JJ also had a sail break and I could not believe he went to over 7 m when the wind picked up. Lucky Anita was not there to kick me to go faster.Wink

Sam! Great to see you posting again! You have a jelly bean again. Well done!

Nice effort Ricey.

AC, good to see you finally managed to post some PB's. Congratulations. Glad that GPS is working again.

I intended to get out today but things conspired against me and it didn't happen. Frown

Just as well I didn't go sailing today. The way my day went I'd have broken something or been eaten by a shark!

Congrats on the PBs Alan - both you and Lezz were showing good form in the stronger gusts. Faster fins will buy you both another couple of knots Cool

Nice NM Lezz - considering how lumpy it was in the open water Laughing

Thanks for the comments fellas - gotta love those CL fins!

Judging by the team trend I would have broken a sail if I went yesterday. Better than being eaten by a shark.

Still annoyed I missed the one sailing day of the week.

Great speeds for you Lezz, top 5 scores in 2 sec & 5X. May be I should have been there to push you to go faster... Good nm for the ocean too - you've earned yourself a jellybean!
