Greenpark Huts. Got there late, with the wind blowing norwest 25+ knots.. Heading down to the point and got some runs in before the wind really picked up and swung more to the west. Making the run right up your backside with a lot of chop..So just went balls to the wall, pushed hard and manage to finally get my 40+knots peak. stoked!!!  Days like today i wish i was 6'5\" and 110kgs. But im not. Too bad. Great day sadly no Gopro on today..Too bad again. Good to see Mark getting Pbs today. Considering he was on a slalom board..good job!!!  Isonic 44, R3 5.6, Mykz 215/25

Green Park. NW 25-50kts....... then W 30-50kts.

SP8 44cm, Maui TR9 5.5, Myyz 230/37 fin

Got that wrong.

Perfect NW wind angle first 3 runs and I thought it was gonna really blow so went back to the vans (major operation) to get smaller gear.

Got back up to the sandbar and wind had gone too far west so was way around behind us.

Big chop on the sail home in 40+ kts westerly, exciting and knackering.

Congrats Dan, the drinks are on you next time we're out there. Table, chairs, bottle of double malt, should fit in the van ok with your gear.

I had an interesting day. had a run going back for small gear.

Then another run to go back up and get the 5.5 and board off the breakwater after we had finished.

On leaving I drove out to the gravel track still in my wettie so that I could take the snow chains off in the wettie since its a muddy and sheep shitty job by then.

Chains off, van covered in mud and the wettie now.

Get changed.....no shoes.

Turn the van inside out but no shoes. I'm not putting thise chains on again so I had another run back to the lake and there they were sitting in the middle of the turn around.

Run back out to the van.

I'm gonna sleep well tonight.

But it was worth it, you got 40 kts, Yippee!

Fantastic numbers, well done on the two PBs and breaking 40 kts Dan. And all that on a day when you needed snow chains for the mud.

Snow chains only for the HiAce.

The VWs with front drive seem to handle the bogs much better.
