Coomba Bay, NSW, AU

Great arvo sail. Sun shining and first Noreaster of the season ,sailing with friends at the local spot. What's not to like?

NNE at 15-22k and a bit gusty and shallow on the bank, but some worthwhile runs.Rob, Matt K, Bill and young Anton out blasting around. 93,23,6.0.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU - Very light NE'er 10-14 knots maybe at best.

NP 7.5 V8 + JP 112L + 21cm MUF. Not much to write about except it was a NE breeze in September. Came in as Johnny & Mick were going out.

Sailed with Old Pete who cracks it for a big birthday this Sunday, so Happy 70th Pete!! Pete was looking good today out there.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU Very light but super flat once we worked up to the flats N/NNE 10/12. Wayno and Pete came in when we were heading out. Tried the 22 Delta with 8.5 Koncept and 135 Patrik big ass slalom. Shit! Could not stick the fin cross, too, into the breeze. Made for a hard sesh. Was ok off the breeze in the flat. Next time ill use 43 or 36 weedy's with that combo and stick to the edges of weed bank. Miller was smokin in the light breeze!!

Trial Bay, NSW, AU  Solid nor-easter in the 20-25 knot class, over-powered big time on the 6.6, so dropped to a 5.8, still over-powered but managed a few fun runs and jumps. Tony out getting lifted on his 5.0 meter sail. Solid start to the spring nor-easters.

5.8 Kult, 111 Carve.

Rob (1800km):

Coomba Bay, NSW, AU Good to be back on the lake with the gang.

Coomba Bay, NSW, AU

Made the marathon trek to Coomba Park today, sailing with Gabe, Rob, Bill & Anton.  Nice 20+ kts NNE and almost too shallow on the weedbank.  Water warming nicely too.

Falcon 101, GTX 6.5, 30cm BPweed.

Started at Little Manly, broke boom in hunters bay on port but could still sail on Starboard and so made it to clontauf where I rang everybody for lift thinking the cab fare would be $100 or so. It was $20. Still a expensive day.

Before I got into the taxi I told the driver I broke my boom out sailing and needed to get back to my car from where I launched. He opened the door for me so I guess he wasnt too worried about the wetsuit. It was a big tarago or something, it ocurred to me to shove all me gear in for a second!! but I guess that would be pushing it. I just got in and left my gear there. Smile

Sorry for the slow speeds Marauders, formula sailing is more about angles. Pinching up and sailing deep downwind for the shortest distance. Cant wait to get back to Budgewoi on the narrow gear.

Ha, tough day Justin, but there the ones you'll remember, a sweet moment floating around middle harbour, pretty nice out there, but too much boat traffic to be bobbing around
