1st time I've aimed for a category ( hr). Good to have something to focus on.The wind lasted c 1hr 10mins then died off to gusty. Off the plane a few times when I aimed up towards Toronto.
Bit disappointing result but it was on the big board in chop. Proud of myself . I did long runs , didn't miss a gybe ( nothing spectacular) or fall in and out c 1hr 20..Board too big slapping hard in chop. One day I'll get a 105ltre which will be ideal. Thought about using the 95 but worried about the luff tube in the race sail filling and getting stuck out there.
John, Rus & Andrew out. Cluffy & Hugh and others arrived after it had died to very gusty conditions.

There is always tomorrow of course. It was very pleasant though! See what happens at Lake lllawarra tomorrow and sunday?! Good luck to everyone!

Big crowd at Coal Point, we all put in a big effort, but unfortunately we didn't produce much. It was best early on, John and I got out at 2.30 ish, but it was patchy and the weed was terrible, I restarted my watch a couple of times as there was just not enough wind. Then I had a good 36 minutes until my harness hook snapped off.
