25 (14457km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Nice day on the Dodd bar!! Hit the water just after noon with the 6.4 RSR E4 and the 08 F2 SXXS with mXr 30 degree 24 10%. Great session out on the bank. Broke a batten [on my head] and came in after about 90mins. Put up the KA race 5.5 with the Mistral 47 speed and it was sadly no improvement on the early session [not 2 sec not any of the 5 x 10] and it was hard work. Plenty out probably some good speeds to be posted.

Slowboat (49232km): liptons KAR5.5m M41 Tribal 19 asy Got there and it looked promising. PD said he'd hit a 40 and was lit on his 6.4m so I decided to join him with the 5.5 mission. Sadly the eastern side of the estuary had shut down and gone too gusty for the small gear, but the western side was going. Some nice bullets and perfectly flat water. Went nuts there trying to find the elusive gust that lasted long enough. I'm thinking when its that gusty probably better off on the bigger board since its easier to keep the trim loose. Great fun and good to catch up with the crew!
Snides (28038km): Decided a trip to the fabled fang land was in order -problem was i got there a bit late.. on the water around 3.30ish after a slow trip down the kwinana track after some knob rolled his car and created a major traffic snarl... hit the water with the e5 5.4/m47/delta 15 but found the fin very skittish and had no confidence in it- swapped for a curtis lockwood 23 but this draged too much weed... by the time i plugged in the m91/delta 19 combo the wind had gone... tacked back to shore in a seast change.
all in all not a bad spot and it was nice to explore and get my head around it. There would be some potential with the right fin.. (and a lower tide as anita commented) couldnt get enthused with the deltas..they felt dead but did shed weed..

first post for a while... been nekdeep in nappies this year.. and last two week out with a back injury. word of dvice to all race sailing windusrfers: use a winch. Tom Radis makes awesome ones and can hook you up no doubt.
fin was a bit big to push into the shallow stuff today and the back injury was certainly playing on my mind. got there about 3:30 i guess. The wind as epic for the first channel crossing, then it backed off... so kit was the right choice. others were going super fast today, will be on your heels next year guys look out :) as for this year, that's life!
