decided to give the speed and naughties a miss today and try and bang out a few ks.
was going well until I fluffed a gybe and face planted my boom.
as a result ended up with a head like a smashed crab.
wind had dropped off from previous days but was nicely powered up on a 7.8
mike and dot and me the only ones out today.
another great day at albany...
used a 102 rrd x fire with a 20 muf delta and a 7.8 severne reflex 4.

3581 days ago 2 categories Fantastic to be at Lilacs, but nice to be home. Must have been a big storm while we were away, only 3.5mm in the gauge but 3 sail shades were half down, one of the metal hooks was very close to being straightened out. Had to get the hammer to it and introduce a bit more curve before the sail shade would stay up!
Planned a cruisy day after Sunday's effort, but rigged big in the lull before we went out. Dot had fun, made most of her gybes, but said she was right on the edge all the time.
I had the 6.6 on the 53, with the 26cm 45deg standard weedy, thought I'd give the middle section a go as there was very little chop there.
Was nice to be on a fin that welcomes back foot pressure for a change, but it got a bit too much, so changed to the 48 and the 18cm 50deg, and tightened the sail up. That was a lot better, and I would have liked to keep Ratz company for longer, but I just completely ran out of juice.
