Gosford, NSW, AU a very ordinary session in S 20-25 knots with a 1 metre chop and big gusts. Only did 6 runs before I fin chopped my left knee water starting so with blood coming from the cut I decided I had enough of the overpowered extremely choppy conditions. Better to quit while slightly behind. Not much of a good sail.

Paul D was with me but also did not like it. We rigged wrong and had bucking broncos instead of sailboards!!

HSM 6.6 GPS JP 112L 31cm JP weedie.

Lake George, SA, AU

73 Speed, 5.2 Hellcat, 22 MXR

Sailed the other side today.  It might not be flat for Lake George, but it's FLAT for South West Rocks! Wink

My HUGE ENORMOUS MASSIVE THANKS to Pit Crew Matt for teaching me how to bear away properly and PBs.  Thank you SO MUCH for your time.  YIPPEEEE!!!!! Cool

And SO FANTASTIC to see Chris and Pete and finally meet Bill, Ela and Anton! Smile

LOVING LAKE GEORGE Cool

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU (Buff Point Ave)

Another late afternoon / evening sail after work with Matt A and Johnny (he launched at 7th Ave).

Light with a few big gusts from the SSW and lots of rain!!! It looked windy when I rigged up, very bumpy with next to no flat water!

100L CA, 6.6m KA and 23cm JP weedy.

Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

Felt faster than that, but still a enjoyable sail........need to sail in chop and deep water more often, water starts have suffered.

Just Matty D there rigging up when I arrived and Larry further up wind.

Lake George, SA, AU

Falcon 51, Vector Speed Weed 23, KA Race 5.5m

sailed up to 5mile to see if I could find some flat water, but the wind was a lot lighter and gusty up there and couldnt get going every run. On the way back to cockies, hit some limestone, smashed my fin and cut my feet. OK, so I now know how far south I shouldn't go :-)

Back to base at Cockies, changed fin, a couple of bandaides, and just did some slalom sailing in and out at cockies in the chop. Comfy on the 5.5 RAce but not fully lit....hard work on the small board as the wind was dead south and there was nowhere to hide from the chop down there. Great sail all the same. Would never get to use a 5.5 back home, so I am really happy to give it some use.

Lake George, SA, AU

Hit it a bit earlier today. Pete, Rob, Chris and I were the only ones out for about an hour before the rest of the crowd came out. SSE 15-20 then up to 25+k later in the day.Conditions gradually got better. There wasn't much wind inshore on the flat until later.

Managed a few good runs and some good gybes on the other side. Saw some weed floating up to the surface for the first time.Took a bit of go pro footage of the guys today. Can't believe the wind consistency of this place. Awesome, but tiring...  Hope to catch up with adam and Nicole soon. 79, 23, 6.2.

Lake George, SA, AU. Not comfortable today - 5.5 felt twitchy and fin kept catching mud/weed. Some great gusts made it worthwhile, and seeing Salty Nic was the best.

Gosford, NSW, AU Only posting this to add a few points for Marauders. Across and back once. Too fast on slalom gear for the savage 1 metre chop. Wayne and I both thought coming back in was better than breaking gear and risking injury.

Congrats all PB's and especailly Salty! That's a big jump up. Yep it make a difference when you realise you really need to bear off. I struggled to get past 28kts until I learned that..How strong was the wind?

Wayne I know what you mean re bucking broncs..Chop at Budgy wasn't as big as Gosford but similar ride! Mat I was happy to realise i still remember how to waterstart already in both straps and hook in as you come up as I needed thato survive yesterday!Frown
