The Pit wasn't dead, it was just sleeping SurprisedLaughing

Dawn start again and it was on!!!!! bit bumpy at the start but by the last run it was perfect and soooooooo fast. The ones that felt slow only had peaks of 44 Wink There was more runs to had when I packed up but just too stuffed from walking back. Well done every one ,lots of pb,s

Ca40, Koncept 2015 5.8, Ka/loc 20 and 6kg of lead

Sandy point does not get much better than the last part of todays session when the wind went to the ideal angle!

I am actually quite disappointed in my speeds today. Something about my setup was just not right and I was stuck for a long time in the 43's, despite being super powered up. I knew I should have come in and changed some things, but it's such a mission, I just kept running and hoping. Embarassed

12 runs in 3 hours! You have to work hard for your speeds here! Especially of you are a little old man. Kato was like a energiser bunny again and probably tripled the number I did.

Huge kudo's to Kato! Cool It definitly came together for him today. Sail, board, fin and fitness all complementing all the hard work for a great result! He looked very balanced and comfortable on all his runs, even in the big squalls! That is the secret of fast! It looks all serene to us but he is working like crazy to keep it happening.

The Northerners did really well too. I heard that Vando smashed a huge peak on his last run (just after the wind swung and the water flattened). Pity they could not stay a bit longer. The next hour was the best conditions! I am looking forward to seeing their results!

Good to see Mick, first time on his CA40 getting some really good runs too! PB's?

KA Koncept 5m, Tribal 18 assy speed, CA40. No weight.

Wind readings from Yanakie this morning 36-41 W early, 35-40 WSW after the wind shift. Pretty much what we got I'd say, although a few squalls may have been slightly more.

Thanks all it was a fun but brutal days sailing. Got stood up mid run and was headed into the bank at one stage. Might have scared the guys on the bank as well as me Wink

When we packed up it was still blowing sand everywhere and beautiful flat water but we were too stuffed to continue. Last run was a 42.5 10sec ,too stuffed to sheet in. There may be some video that I shot, just have to see if I kept my thumb out of the way Laughing

Big congrats Craig! Nice speeds too Andrew. I hear they have poor water quality caution signs up at LG today, so might be a few more Queenslanders heading to Sandy Point!

Cheers lao shi. I did enjoy the day big time. Any day when you have such awesome power in the wind is fantastic! Smile

I also love the technical challenge, and yesterday challenged me more than usual. Now I will have endless hours of enjoyment analysing and tuning to get the next gear.
