Hour mission on the big gear with Mark.  Went downwind mostly because I was a bit overpowered on the 8.6, ended up at the SAS Barracks.

Started back upwind at about 5.30 just as the wind booted in to 18 knots (till about 6).

Good fun.

Melville. Very nice cruise in the sunshine. A few holes, but mostly nice and steady.

Faffed around at Leighton then Dutchies trying to decide whether an hour was worth a try. Ended up being pretty steady.

Saw JJ do his usual disappearing act downwind but still no sign when I came in at the end of the hour. I was about to send out a search party when I spotted him in the distance.

Hour has 30 gybes in it (1 dropped). Going out felt slower through the chop which got pretty steep towards the end and back in faster but not actually much in it. Nice gybes in by the beach apart from having to dodge the encroaching baggers.

Good workout.

Sorry I stole your bean GS!Embarassed

Super late blast at Port Beach. Only got on the water at 6. Off around 640. Just me and the fish out there today, nobody in sight. Pretty underdone on the 7.0, but nice to get the feet wet on a weekday. More tomorrow?

Edit: KA72 numbers fixed with Realspeed.

Way to go team! Big boost up the ladder. 22nd upto 9th in the hour category. Good to see a bunch of you putting in an hour

Nice work, JJ & Mark, especially since I know JJ loves doing a non stop hour.

Was it Mark persuading JJ to put in an hour, or JJ persuading Mark to give up the waves for a day?

GS, good river hour for the conditions. You had a jelly bean too, if only temporarily.

Good to see Chris got in an hour of fun too.

Jake, pity you only got 40 minutes.

Well done guys, I drove up and down the coast a bit but couldnt see anyone out and figured I wasnt going to be the wind dummy.

Ended up filling in holes and relaying brick paving instead Frown - it had to be done sometime.

Nice work, Bunyip! Good to see you are having more fun than ever, and challenging the Bird juniors to see who can get the most PBs in a month!

Congrats Jon. Lucky you sailing up there, I had a few sails out of Kurrajong camp ground and Sandy bay a couple of months ago, loved it Cool
