Melville. Skipped work early again ;) Was going to drive south but then I checked the strm surge data and noticed it was -10cm so that would have shut down the beaver until late. So... local again. Same gear as yesterday M112 6.3m Tribal SPW29. Powered up in the bullets. Was super shallow so there were some sketchy patches, But for some reason the chop over the bar was brutal today. It got flatter but the wind also backed off. After a couple of 41s on the 112 I decided to get on the SP95 since it seemed windy enough most of the time. Great fun. First run heading out from the beach was my fastest 10sec. All up speeds very similar on both boards, Both tacks. Finally we got some wind! Its been a long time since I've seen a gust over 25kts. A bit like 7 years ago. Highlight was seeing Geoff going mad on his old sputnik. nice one...

Melville Beach, WA, AU

Quick after work session from 5pm. Some super gusts to be had and it was pretty flat too. Took me a while to get my Melville slingshot line and timing sorted for another summer. A good crowd out! Thanks for the beer Snides!

A real traditional seo with gusts to 30....you dont see that everyday

well...you used to..

fluffed arround for an hr or so struggling to find trim- went through 4 fins before

going back to the only one that has ever half worked in this board.

once it was in i managed one reasonable gust for the peak..

fun all the same and nice to have a beer on the beach with my brother,Cheryl

and PD.

Cracking speeds guys.  looking at PD's tracks I'm trying to get my head around the wind direction - I always thought your seabreeze was predominately from the South west but bear aways seem to suggest due south (or do I have it arse about?)

Sausage - it was about 200 degrees between 5 and 6pm. I was going a bit too broad on my first runs. The faster ones were not as deep!
