Chinaman (2860km): Coodanup Wa What a way to round up the trip. Great fun day, got bitten three times by crabs had a close call with a stringray.
Awesome spot but spentt too much time clearing weed from my fin. 50 deg min rake needed. Have had an absolute ball in WA in the short visit, survived the brilliant diving for crayfish the strong seabreezes of north etc etc. Such a friendly bunch of sailors for all and everyone of you who I met along the way, cheers to you all and I hope to return asap. Too many big funny nights on the piss..... Faaaaaaaàrk The one thing that I cannot get out of my head is the continuous ear bashing that sudsy nic has kept on enforcing upon us that RED IS THE BEST CAPTAIN IN GSPTC. I am scarred for life. Isaac (12069km): Peel Inlet, Coodanup, WA, AU CA58, 6.6 Koncept, 19 Delta Good to meet all the local mob and especially see my little mate Sammy. Chinaman was sailing especially fast and looking particularly handsome today with his new aerodynamic face. I found it hard to function today, and not because of the 32 beers I drank last night. My cooks are flying home tomorrow and I sailed with a heavy heart. I'm not sure how I will live without their delicious cooking, great company and stinky farts. I guess I'll feel better after I sell all the gear they're leaving in my caravan and buy a holiday house in WA. | ||||||||||||||||||

Sailquik (29582km): Back at Fangy at Mandurah. Today the wind seemed a bit stronger but was up and down so I hummed and harred between the 7m and 6.3m, eventually rigging both but going with the 7m. Unfortunately, I broke my oldest KA SDM mast while rigging. Fortunately. I broke my oldest KA SDM mast while rigging! That meant I had to use a borrowed NP 100% SDM. I worried about the set but it looked OK and seemed to work fine. The Koncepts are still very tolerant of non standard masts!! I went with the 2016 7m Koncept for most of the session and this is the fastest I have ever been on a sail that large! At the end when the wind was a touch more steady, I exchanged it for the 6.2m Koncept. It felt lighter and nicer to sail but, somewhat surprisingly, was not faster. Another fantstic Fangy's day on very flat water and in great company, although the locals complained that they could not tell us apart on the water with all the Orange Koncepts out there! We must have all looked fast! I might have had a better One Hour if I hadn't been temepted to stop and chinwag with all the nice folks out there all the time!
