Nice session at Boobays!  We missed Sammy who arrived early to catch a good tide. We found the tide was very low the evening before so we were waiting for the wind to build to full blow. It confused the Master a bit but we worked out this morning that it is what I call a Double Bump tide. There was a low tide mid afternoon, a slight rise, and then it dipped again very late. We sailed untill a few mins before sunset again.

Today looks like it will be about the same wind as ysterday so if we get a better tide with Sammys local knowlegde voodoo, we might even go faster! Tongue out

I may try the Tribal 16.5 assy speed today to seek out the shallower, flatter water!

CA40, 19cm speedweed, 2016 KA Koncept 5.4m.

Nautical Mile with Gybe. I think this is a PB with a Gybe ! Smile I was being very conservative accross the bay in the rolling chop. I might have a better go today!

Glad you've finally got a decent blast there.

Matthew's NM is the way I've done it in the past, if you take off at the right spot, you can sail parallel to the chop, but as the chop changes direction across the bay, you have to sail in a curve.

Look forward to today's numbers.
