Albany day3

Had an absolute ball, great session with a good crew, nice to catch up with Doddi, Shano, and Peter Cool.. I even came across Matt from VIC!! woow the gang is getting bigger lol

What the difference can make a good fin!! I used my own made today, it goes faster, point higher and mainly its less tirering because less draggy that a Delta, what the pleasure!! the 60ks of today was easier that the 30 yesterday

I never went to the speed run, I just bare off where ever it felt right, it seems to be always in the chops inline with the carpark. Still have not test the NM, cant wait to have a crack at it.. Also my A was on my bad side because doing bare away on my good side. Really good fun Tongue out

I hope Joe got some good nbs, he left before I got out, we need to push the team up today Embarassed

Albany, just got home, a SEnsational days windsurfing, everything felt so good, felt I was sailing fast for the conditions, and easily felt the fastest gybing I'd ever done (unfortunately it didnt translate to alpha 500Yell I thought I was gonna bypass the 27kt club and move straight into the 28kt alpha clubEmbarassed, glad I didnt verbalise that). Tabou Manta 54, TR9 6.3m, Delta Slalom 20/55

Tabou Manta 54 + Elmo SS 20cm @50º, Tabou rocketwide 108L + Pepe 25cm @60º NP RSR E7 7.0m

Day mission to Albanakastan with Sir Snoozealot (Yoyo)

We left at 5am, got down to Albany just after 10 and on the water by 11, apart from Shane from CST everyone else was waiting for the stronger winds in the arvy, unfortinately we didn't have that luxuary.

Was mainly doing Gybing practise today and was having a ball got some seriously sweet corners(for me) but nowhere near in proxity but fun none the less.

Started out with the Manta but felt I was underboarded early on so changed to the rocket which was a lot easier to get going then back to the manta when the wind started filling in 40mins before I had to call stumps.

Was also experimenting with fins the small ones I hadn't raked back that far before and weren't to bad when powered up. The 25cm was some mad scientist work going on there, this fin was absolutely awesome in my old Thunders but in the Rocketwide it's a never ending cycle of randomly cavitating, the board just dosen't like it, after a bit of research, I knocked up some vortex generators (similar to Plane winhgs and race cars) out of Gorrila tape and nail varnish didn't look high tech, the right height or even any chance of it working, but Low and behold it did, only started cavitating again when some of the tape started peeling of.

Great day out quite bizzare to be sailing a cold and rainy day in the middle of summer.

A great crew out, Poor old Franga is going to have to lift his game in the chair department with Stropp's La Z Boy recliner

Great to catch up with everyone, the Mt Barker Burger hit the spot on the way home

Some gybing practise, I feel the camera from to to of the mast is going to be brutal to my shonky technique
