Turned out to be a nice arvo looking more like a weekend with the amount of sailors, but very few boats...sweet!
Rigged big to get the most out of it but it was a bit of a handful at times. Felt like i hadnt been out for ages. Very warm water too.

Happy session practising some of what we learned from Guy Cribb.
Felt very comfortable with a lower boom and no cam sail.

I was having a lovely cruisy session with some nicish gybes thinking this could be a top 5 hour, when after 25 minutes the first switch-off happened. The switch offs became longer and more frequent calling for an early stop to the day. In the end I couldn't even plane all the way to the carpark.
plusses - it was sunny and warm, there was good company and I got chauffered there and back. Speed chat worked. Decrepit's repair of Leons mast worked. Plenty of flaaat water.
minuses - the wind was less than hoped for and more holey than one would expect for Coodanup. Speed chat grossly overestimated my speeds again. The water is starting to look like a ruminant's water trough with dried weed floating all over the surface.
Not a top ten Fangy day, but the best windsurf of the year so far!

No PB today (Petrol Bill) but a nice sesh at the home of the Pinnaroos - not too choppy; and it was good to catch up again with Jeff and Lester.

Great to see James getting up and running on the short board. Mission accomplished.

First try at Coodanup. Very little wind by the time we arrived/ Made it as far upwind as the channel markers, but after that the breeze died.

3236 days ago Port beach ocean classic (After worker). Got down there to see a packed carpark - sweet! Everyone was out today. JJ, Hooksey, Jonah, Chris P., Norts, Istaaack, Jesper and bunch of others. There must be something happening this weekend??...
Bit of a tuning/fitness day today. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, whenever I put the 7.0 on the new 107 with my normal boom height setting, it sits at about my waist - it's crazy low.
After working that one out and getting the boom at the right height, I just blasted around for an hour or so, working on the board trim and trying to keep the beast down in the gusts. Had the mast track 1 cm back from center to see how that went. Not convinced just yet, but it was good off the wind. Up the swell was another story...
I left my apple cores on my other small sails, so had to suffer a fixed outhaul system today which, when the wind picked up, was quite a handful!
Another fun summer arvo
Note to self: get/test some longer screws for my big weed fin!!!

Super fun sess on the FSW, less than a knot slower than Jonah's Isonic 90 - just need a decent fin.
The benefit of the FSW over a slalom board is nice floaty chop jumps and super tight gybes.
Great to see about 15 out today, ocean sailing is back in

3236 days ago Pinnaroo Point, WA, AU 7.5 easy, rocket 123, 36 weed. After the doctor said this morning that I can go back to windsurfing I wished I had my gear in the car as he was half way to Peel. Anyway Pinneroo Point was good fun. I was overpowerd at first but after my break wind adjusted itself kindly and it become flatter. Good to see Jeff and Geoff and lots of locals.

Super-fun sesh at Leighton today
Been hanging for a reasonably consistent seabreeze since I lobbed in Perth just before Xmas, Xmas Eve day delivered in spades, but it's been pretty dire ever since.
Today was hell fun. Got on the water around 2 and it was still a bit light. The M112 + 7.4 Koyote + 33 CL SL2 combo was way under-done.
Grabbed the 135 Patrik and I was away. Came in to switch to a weedie (42 Vector slalom weed), cos the 42 CF was catching heaps of weed. Had some wicked runs on this set-up.
Late in the sesh I plugged in the M112 again for a few screamers down the swell lines and a crack at an NM.
The Koyote was cool. Picked it up a few years ago for an LOC campaign. Dusted it off today and loved the softness rigged on an RDM. Also sweet to water-start. Good fun sesh blasting in beautiful clear water. Damn I miss living in Perth!
Great sailing with some good crew
