3217 days ago Just flew in from France last night so first sail for me in 2016!
Sailed around for a while with my iPhone in my pocket! Rookie error...
Incredibly gusty in the late arvo at Melville and my little 5.7 wasn't really doing it, but it is great to be back on the water. Started on the Manta 49 but was mostly sunk to my waist so swapped to the Manta 59 which was quicker, but a little unbalanced with the 5.7 and 32 Talon.

3217 days ago Pelican Point, WA, AU
That was a hideous day out! First fang on the speed board. Started out at pelicans and did a few runs just as the wind cranked right in, the seas in the middle were head high! That was survival windsurfing at it best (or worst).
Packed up and hit Melville which was almost as bad as it gets, with massive wind shifts, gusts, lulls, chop, you name it! Anyway was good to catch up with a few crew.

3217 days ago very short sail today, decided to head to liptons with the promise of good wind
ended up cruising back and forth in protection mode..
for me its been a frustrating week missing 4 days of sailing due to achilles tendonitis
which is finally starting to come good (at one stage last monday i was on crutches.)
off to see the doc this arvo (mon) to get the results of the scans (then hopefully back to melville for a quick sail :)

3215 days ago peel. Yeeehar a bit of REAL wind for once. Made a day of it. Rigged 6.3m and started on the M112. Got a couple of 40s and a 41 on that then it booted! So out with the M95 and tribal spw23. Got a stack of 41s and landed a nice gust at Liptons for my fastest run with 43 on the dial. Rattly as hell following chop! Second fastest run was at Pt Grey heading back to liptons to the channel... mental but it was a solid gust and gear was totally in control. Loving the setup. Then decided to head down to that other point and a go at the NM. Snides rolled up and strangely I was underpowered a lot of that run compared to before. The curse strikes! Looks like I went just far enough. Overall a mint days sailing with every man and his dog there. Storm surge really limited the potential speeds with the only flat water over at Pt grey in the wind shadow so it was all about waiting to find a glory bullet. I was too impatient for that ;) The sail was superb. Didnt change it all day and was in control even when it went nuclear. Great job KA guys. Its a work of art.
