Pelican Point, WA, AU 6.5 Gator 96 Supercross 34 Tabou. Really fun session today, didn't plan to sail for too long but didn't want to stop! Only my concentration started wavering towards the end that made it a bit worrying in the Peli chop. Ricey was on the same size sail as me, I was impressed, I was quite, quite powered up at times, well done Dave! Jake was also on the water looking smooth as always.  I'll sleep well tonight after dinner (which I made it to with even enough time to post this) tick in every box!

NM session and extended cruise - tried to shake off a poxy stomach bug Yell

The big freeride's speed limitation becomes painfully obvious in flat water - it really only makes sense on the ocean.

Safety Bay, WA, AU 5.4K, M47, 23 tribal WS

A fun session at Safety Bay with Craig and Simon. My first sail in over a week, due to illness and Christmas commitments. Boy I needed that. My equilibrium has been restored. The day started badly when I discovered the lawn mower had knocked the top of one of my sprinklers and the resulting waterspout washed away sand which I had placed only the day before to fill in a hole which had been there for ages. Then I turned up at the dentist only to find out my appointment was yesterday. Then, due to poor website design it took over an hour to pay a bill which should have taken 5 minutes. You get the idea.

Not as much wind as last time so I used the bigger speed board which was perfect. I was underpowered on the downwind runs, but the 6.2 would have been too big. Maybe I do need to hang on to my trusty 5.7. The tide was spot on for the speed run, and there was less swell today, so slowing down in the sound was less hazardous, and I finished the session unscathed, even though my wrist is still sore from my session two weeks ago. At least the ankle has recovered. I made a major breakthrough with waterstarting in the swell today and waterstarting will be a lot more efficient from now on. I am still not brave enough to gybe out in the sound. I had a go today but chickened out.

The wind was pretty constant today which made comparison of runs and gear tuning easy. I found even half a centimetre either side of the sweet spot on the mast track dropped the speed by a knot or more.

Came home in time to replace the broken sprinkler only to find I was out of that type, so off to Bunnings... All fixed now.

Not a bad breeze, tide just right early on but seemed to get a tad choppy toward the end. Good to see Anita getting some good speed.

GW60 results below. Was a bit of a bugger to sync to the PC today, dont know if its my computer or the device though.

When I got on the water the 7.8m seemed about right. An hour later, would have , should have, but didn't rig down to  a smaller sail and paid the price. Really felt heavy today and struggled to find any speed. Beats being at work!

Pinnaroo Point - 115L/7m - thought I could contribute to the team score Wink

A short session at the home patch to burn a bit of fat. The wind steady , water crystal clear - a nice day to be on the water.

Managed only one gybe in that chop Embarassed

Congrats Vince - great results Smile

Great Vinchenzo, not one PB but two. Also congrats on successfully finishing Uni - up the environmentalists!

I sailed at Peli but my GPS did not record, switched itself off soon after I switched it on. Not sure why.

What did you do to your wrist & ankle Anita?

Sue, it was from getting slammed while trying to slow down in the swell after the Safety Bay speed run two weeks ago. It is amazing how much longer it takes to slow down at 33 knots vs 31. I can pretty much tell how fast I have gone by how many ramps it takes to slow down.
