Kenny (16394km): Melville Beach, WA, AU Unfortunately couldnt go down to Liptons due to other plans in the morning. On and off winds with some big gusts at Melville. decided to go small so rigged the 5.5 and had a good first hour until the wind picked up even more. Changed to the 29 tribal ws and had a couple more runs. Keen to see how the team went at Liptons. 5.5 Tr7, 97 isonic, 34 falcon then 29 tribal ws.
Snake (23888km): Liptons, WA, AU. Now there's a little xmas present to myself Where did that come from? Wasn't even super windy!! I am so stoked right now I think I might explode SP47, RB 6.3, MXR UFO speed weed 22 (Thanks Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) 6kg? In the vest
tailwind (7476km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Liptons is a good spot M91; Reflex 6.2; Tribal SW 21 Thanks for the fin Jake. Moving the harnes lines back stopped the spinouts and started bumping up the speeds, I think a bigger fin may have produced some better speeds but THe 35 was what I wanted for Christmas.

Flatchat (9962km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Wind didn't seem to come in as strong as forecast and consequently chose setup poorly. Never felt comfortable but too lazy to reset. Hell, it was still good fun. Great to get out at Liptons again and a good crew out. JP Slalom70, RSR E5 6.4, Tribal wspd 23
Boz (42999km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Great day down at Liptons, great to catch up with the Pinnaroo team that made it down, also great chatting to the other teams, Stroppo thanks for the tips of the speed runs will use them next time I am down. All in a great day Tabou Rocket, KA Koyote 5.9 Freeride, Tectonic 27 W.S

Lunny (42007km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU Great Day! Plenty out enjoying what liptons has to offer. Bit surprised with the NM as it certainly wast powered all the way through. Memorable day for sure M91, Reflex6 6.2, Tribal ws 27
Windxtasy (13938km): Peel Inlet, WA, AU M47, Tribal 21 speedweed, 5.4K I was hoping for a Christmas present today but I got a birthday present as well! (it is my birthday tomorrow as well as Christmas) I finally got that 34 monkey off my back. Peak speed was 34.34 There was a great turnout for speed central (AKA liptons) today. A Christmas party with lots of my favourite people. A big Pinnaroo turnout with Jake, Lunny, Flatchat, Boz and Tailwind, and lots of Mandurah Mobbers, a SRM crew and I think only one Coastal. The wind was very gusty, and short gusts at that, so it was difficult to get speed up and hold it for long enough to get good speeds. Consequently there were lots of runs of 30,s, 31.s. I sailed all over the place trying to find more consistent wind, and eventually found a spot all by myself just upwind of Ward point. Best speeds were bearing away into the chop, because that's where the wind was. Being conscious of having a few 10 sec runs over my PB I kept trying for more to make sure I was not that one run short this time. Best 10 sec was 33.073. I knew that would help boost the average. I would have kept going but it was getting late and there were not many sails left on the water, so I thought I'd better head upwind back to base. It takes a long time to get upwind form ward point when the wind has a lot of west in it, and especially when you keep getting sucked in to doing downwind runs. It turns out the guys were about to send out a search party for me! Loving the 5.4 Koncept, and the M47 and tribal fin, as always. The 23 fin might have been better today given the short gusts. Thanks for the pic, Stroppo. Sorry you couldn't be out there mixing it with us! |
